My son has hearing aids.. I drew this when he just got them, I suppose as a way of dealing with the situation.

He's almost three and developmentally delayed, partially deaf and likely autistic. I love him very much and he's totally awesome! We spend a lot of time going to speech and occupational therapy together. He makes me so proud every time he learns something new.

Well he definitely has a wonderful Momma, and if the art you post is any example of who and what you are inside, I'd have to say quite a special person indeed.

I know a lot of my art has ME or what i wish in life in it, so it actually mirrors many parts of me.

I think that's true. My art has bits of me in it. All of it. Or well, most of it. I've drawn commissions were I had no real interest in the subject matter and while they tend to look more polished, there's little emotion in them. To me they look pretty sterile.

I try to lean to taking only work on that I enjoy. It's a luxury I have these days.
