"Hey, no fair. You keep using that super move and it's almost impossible to stop it," Vera said. Her twin brother Travis chuckled as the sounds of Ultra Dodge Ball echoed through the room, their thumbs flying across their Nintony Entertainment System controllers.
"That's not my problem," Travis said. He smirked at his sis as his character used yet another super shot, sending the dodge ball through his sister's team and into the hands of his teammate on the other side. He then passed the ball back to his main character, and set himself up for yet another shot. Only this time, Vera's character caught the ball.
"Yes!" She yelled. "Now let's see how you like it!" The twins had taken to playing as the same team against each other, so both had the character with the overpowered move. A tactic Vera quickly turned on her brother. Shot after shot, she knocked Travis's characters on the ground, one of which lost all his health and died. "Hah!" Vera said. "One down, two to go."
Travis tried to intercept Vera's pass by jumping, but got hit with the ball instead. Still, the ball landed on his side of the court, and he once again took control. Vera's team was weakened from the earlier assault, and they didn't hold up much longer. One fell, then the next, and soon her entire team was defeated. "That was a cheap victory, Trav," Vera said, tossing her controller down.
"Aw, come on, Ver, I know you like this game, too," Travis said. "Hey, how about Bean Ball mode?" With that, the twins were once again mashing their controllers, fighting for victory.
