The haunted suit of armor has always been an idea that I really liked, but somehow always seem to forget. I guess they're just that luke warm, bland type to always be overlooked... but I like they're general quarkiness!
I guess the concept is one that pretty much explains itself. Souls of deceased warriors who cling so tenaciously to their duties that they refuse to leave their armor. A true soldier dies with his boots on they say... of course the look and demeanor is totally based on the era and location they came from, so it's hard to say what they will and won't do, but they will always be fiercely tied to their duty, however often times they see no difference between a normal person and their commanding officer and treat everyone as an authority figure, and will take ANY command given to them... that or will view themselves as the commander over everything they see and that can be problematic.
Of course not all of these are deceased warriors. Some are just possessed by unknown spirits that use the suits to whatever means they feel important, of course this can also mean that there are rare occasions when 'armors' aren't armors at all, but any form of clothing that get's inhabited and take on humanoid shape. This can also occur when the clothing had such a strong tie to the original owner that they can animate, but they always take on the persona of the deceased, so again their nature is at total random
