Spike will leave Ponyville? I am sure Twilight can explain it to the others like "It's time that Spike discovers His dragon ways...OR...Staying here hurts Him too greatly. He will be leaving not for good, just to collect Himself..." or something along this way. But leaving AFTER Rarity is dead makes Him see, like He was around ONLY for Rarity's sake, which seems kind of egoistic. I mean, Spike does have other friends in Ponyville. Or they matter not as much as a whole, as Rarity? I'm sure they are.

Life is a circle no matter what lives we lead till death, its comes back and new life is born and with Rarity I think her limitations of her mortality is no longer an issue she can finally be with Spike even if its a short time, but it comes back to the beginning like a circle. And this is just the beginning now Spike all grown up like a 120 year old gem dragon a young father for his daughter (i'm guessing on the age here if my math is right at this point) and these are flashbacks on how it started and what will happens next.

its confusing but, this is still part of the flashback before spike leaves. that makes me think that the daughter is nightmare's "new body" but if that's the case, rarity left almost immediately after and let her daughter and possibly spike think she was dead AGAIN.
