I could also be wrong, that's just my speculation since Foxy is the only one with a truly violent history (The Bite of 1987) where he supposedly bit the skull open of a child, taking the frontal lobe of the brain with it.

You honestly just gotta stop lookin' at the game for it's creepiness and more for the story I guess. According to most "wikis" of the game, it's a really innocent thing. The animatronics are just trying to help their buddy back into his suit. Or that's how they see it XD

To be honest, the game originally creeped me the hell out, the lore behind it is absolutely frightening. But I learned to deal with it by making it less scarey. Foxxy pops in to check on you while you're working, gives you a thumbs up and runs back to the Cove. Chica wants to make sure you're not hungry and brings you food for your shift. Freddy plays some cool ass tunes while you work. And Bonnie just wants to play hide and seek.
