I initially reacted with abject horror when I saw they were making a CGI adaptation of Horton Hears A Who (understandable, considering the *last* Dr. Seuss film Jim Carrey was in...), but my amigo Wolfblade told me it was actually really good and I absolutely had to see it because of this little fluffy thing called Katie. Well, I finally saw it, and I'm glad I did. Fantastic animation, good voice casting choices, genuinely funny, adorable li'l kangaroo boy, equally cute emo who boy Jojo ...and Katie. She's in the movie for only a handful of minutes and has only one line apart from "Aaahhhh", but dammit, she steals the entire movie. They need to make a 2 hour all-Katie movie now. Or give her her own talk show.
She's pretty effing hard to draw though. I tried twice, both times looking like elk vomit, before giving up trying to get her perfectly on-model and just doing her in my usual style.
I so very, very want a plushie of her now. :)
