Another of Bartleby's close friends is this shy bespectacled calico, Gillian. Like many alley cats, she enjoys hunting for neat stuff in the trash, and even has her own magic dumpster.

(2) Gillian is now a dual citizen, having established lodging in a world beyond Hell, Trashovia where souls absorbed into trash and released by certain mystics eventually settle. They may go through a "trash zombie" stage, where they have steadily rotting bodies that start doing so once their mystic animator dies. (Trash can carry malignant germs and so this stage of rapid decay gets started sooner than the trash zombie expects.). once decay is total, the trash zombie enters the world of Trashovia. Gillian skipped that process, when a portal opened in Bartelby's house and they both went to Trashovia.
