This is, by far, my favorite Bartleby drawing. He came out exactly as I've always imagined him. As soon as I finished the sketch, I wanted to reach right in and hug him!
I used this pic as part of the cover to my latest -perhaps LAST fan-fic - FRAGMENTS. It shows Bartelby, returned to life, flying over his old home town, sketched out around his flying pic. It wasn't his conscious idea to return to life, but the naga eyes of Nid Nannatar, which affected the parameters of his free will. Likewise, Mr. and Mrs. Oakley were naga-ed into going through the Change and returning to THEIR home town, for a reason they THOUGHT was their own. ***

* This 2-pg. oddity was written at some unknown date, and I forgot I even did so. I may post it soon.
** This was supposed to be a round-robin collaboration bet me and a former correspondent. Chapter one. He would then use my brief notes to write chapter 2 and notes towards #3, and so on. However, before I could get started, he dropped me as a correspondent. After efforts of mine to restore it failed, I then finished the chapter and stored it as it was. That was about 20 years ago.
*** A huge number of earth people migrated to hell WITHOUT dying, WITHOUT getting sorted to their proper levels, and threatened trouble & chaos. Some were tourists, some were migrants, some were escaping justice... Conversely some denizens of level 2 went back to earth as living persons ! (they would find it hard to adapt,tho.). Nid Nannatar's mischief only affected level 2 , but unless Satan stopped the mischief and at once, Nid'd invade other levels as portals were ripping open ... !!
