Pathfinder Character. Although not an active one.

Ratfolk, male. Sorcerer with the Pestilence Bloodline.
If you are wondering how he got a familiar. He took the Eldritch Heritage feat at 3rd level and choose the Arcane Bloodline.
He has Scent via his Racial Variant, allowing him to pinpoint enemies with his nose. Especially after his skunk sprayed them.

would making a rat-folk zen archer be good?

or should i make a Garudan ranger with a giant eagle as a pet?...im thinking of doing the second one for a campaign, and being the pirate adventure, having someone that can fly is pretty good eh? :D

Considering Ratfolk don't get a Wis bonus Zen Archer is probably not the optimal choice.

Garudan has very high racial hitdice and CR. So you loose a lot on the Ranger and you have to start very high.

Awesome! My kitsune sorcerer is the Starsoul bloodline. I'm actually juggling three different groups, all of which have my wuffie and I: my other two characters are a kitsune summoner (kinda regretting taking the Broodmaster archetype) and human druid (with a tiger companion named Mr. Fluffy).
