Don't forget she's also trying to make him dumb... and a jock. Not to say there's anything inherently wrong with being a jock, but she's essentially making his personality do a complete 180. Before you know it, he'll stop being interested in all of his old hobbies, then he'll stop seeing all of his old friends, THEN he'll become a completely muscle-bound/self-obsessed jerk, and finally she'll leave him, saying that he's not the same guy she fell in love with.
