Lined! and stuff... i really need to work on feet/shoes, i can't get the angles right and they look broken!... i have no idea what i'm going to do with that, i need to fix it but every time i try i make it worse... any ideas?
This is true... and, despite my general distaste for most manga/anime, the way I now draw eyes is very reminiscent of how eyes are usually drawn in typical manga/anime.

lol funny thing is, "hope", the character you like, was drawn with a manga style. i'd say it depends on the image, basic boring manga with no twist is not my cup of tea either but when there's something different, something odd or a story that makes up for the bland art then it can be really good

Oh, trust me, I do recognize that. Again, it's not my favorite style, but manga/anime artists do come up with some of the best technical drawings; as a matter of fact, my Space Wings project has some bits of manga thrown into the design work these days! I'm still picky about what anime I'll watch, though; I do not do Dragon Ball and all of its subsidiaries/variations, and I kinda grew a distaste for Neon Genesis Evangelion, but fell in love with others like Macross Plus, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Last Exile, Perfect Blue, Wonderful Days, and Lefie: The Hen of the Wild (the latter two are actually from South Korea, but I don't know what that style of animation is called).
