Just another furry love story.
By Nictatew
Skyler was a cat, whiskers, fur and all. He looks cute, almost like an innocent kitten. He had dark green eyes and blonde hair. Samantha was a tiger girl, b-cup breasts, and about the same height as Skyler, maybe slightly shorter. She had Ocean blue eyes and long brown hair that was cut short when she was young but in present time it is quite long, halfway down her back Skyler and Samantha have been best friends since as long as they can remember. They played together as young cubs, grew up together and went to school together. They had the same classes together, and their parents were close as well so they did just about everything together. This pair was the definition of best friends. As soon as middle school started, boys and girls started taking attention of each other as more then just friends and Skyler and Samantha were no exception, though it was weird for them. Their parents were always saying that they were going to grow up and get married. This only made the pair complain at their parents to stop embarrassing them. When they were younger, they just made faces and said "Ewww" in unison. Their parents were right in some way, someone just had to make the first move.
Now, Skyler was a somewhat shy cat boy in school with little friends in comparasion to Samantha, a very popular tiger girl with a lot of friends. Skyler first noticed Samantha when they had to do a science project in the forth grade, forcing them to stay at the same house for about a week. Their parents didnt seem to care about it so they thought nothing of it. The more time Skyler spent went Samantha, the more he noticed how smart she was, how funny she was, how pretty she was. She actually caught him staring at one point but Skyler only blushes and told her he was lost in his thoughts. Samantha only shrugged and continued the science project, not thinking anything about it. The longer the spent time with each other, the more Skyler felt this funny feeling in his gut, like butterflies flying around in there. He thought he might be sick or something so he went to his mother.
"Mom? I think there's something wrong with me" Skyler says as he walks into his single mothers room. His mom pats a seat next to her, making Skyler come and sit by her. She feels his forehead "You dont feel sick sweetheart" Skyler shakes his head "No not there, here" He points to his stomach. "Its just a weird feeling, everytime i look or spend time with Samantha, my tummy always feels funny. Like there's butterflies flying around in there or something. Is that bad?" His mother shakes her head and giggles "Oh Skyler, theres nothing wrong with you, thats just love your feeling. Looks like you have you first crush" Skyler shakes his head widely "Nuu, love is grossss" He says like the child he is, making his mother giggle again. "Sweetheart, you may think that now but in a few years, you will think different." Skyler refused to think different but his mind changed in the 6th grade, the first year of middle school.
Samantha looked different for some reason, her chest got a little bigger and she grew her hair out some. She looks even more prettier, the butterflies were back and not stopping. Skyler blushed softly without noticing as Samantha came running over to him. "Hey Skyler!" Skyler smiles and composes himself "Hey Samanatha" They do their secret handshake that they made when they were younger, still being quite childish now. Samantha giggles and smiles "Isnt it so cool, were finally in middle school." Skyler nods when a smile "Ya it is, we get our own locker and everything!" His short haired tail is swaying softly back and forth. He gets lost in Samantha's blue eyes for a couple second but is snapped out as he hears Samantha's voice raise slightly "Hey, earth to skyler, you in there?" Skyler blushes "O-oh, ya sorry. I was lost in space. Heh heh." The school bell rings, starting the first day of school. Samantha takes Sklyer's arm and pulls him along "Come on, were gonna late" Skyler can only keep pace with Samantha, if he didnt they would both fall together and they would be late.
First period and of course the two find out they have the exact same schedule again. "You think our parents pay the school to keep us in the same class?" Samantha says jokingly, causing them both to laugh some. The pair walk into class and sit next to each other while immature boys make kissy noises at the two. Samantha rolls her eyes "Losers" She says under her breath. Skyler is still wondering why he still feels like this. Can it be true, was his mother right. Did he have a crush on Samantha? Did he l-l-love her? Skyler blushes as her turns to Samantha, causing her to shine that pretty smile agian. Just as Skyler was about to say something when  the teacher walks into the room. Sklyer sinks back into his seat with a pout. Everyone introduces themselves and class begins. The day drags along, maybe middle school wasnt gonna be as exciting as he once thought before. The day has been quite boring so far, the only up part was he was assigned to sit next to Samantha in every class. Every time he got the courage to confess his feelings to her, something had to go wrong. Whether it was the teacher walking in, or a fight happening in the back of the room that was too loud to talk off. "This is impossible", he thinks to himself.
School finally got let out and as usual the two walked home together. Skyler has had plenty of time to rehearse his lines in his head. Now they were alone, walking home together. Skyler looked at Samanatha as she was talking about how she enjoyed her day and what all happened, which Skyler knew it all, he never seemed to left her side all day, most of that being unintentional too. He didnt interrupt at all though. After a while there was a silence and Skyler thinks "This is my change, i wont screw up this time" He says, encouraging to himself. "Samantha, can i tell you something." Samantha nods "Of course, you can tell me anything Skyler." Skyler takes a deep breathe and starts talking "Samantha, I think i-i-i" He says, stuttering on his own words. Samantha looks confused but then a horn is honked behind them. Its Samantha's mom, she is picking up Samantha. "But mommmm" Her mother isnt having it and tells her to get in, she has stuff to do at home. Samantha sighs and smiles at Skyler "We can talk tomorrow, ok?" She climbs in the car and they soon have driven off in the distance leaving Skyler on the sidewalk. He mumbles to himself "I-i love you...."

A little change in pace to what i usually write. I might put mature content in this somewhere but not near as much as I usually do. This is the story of childhood best friends that seem to be getting closer. Is there hope for this young love. Id love to hear feedback or critique since this is my first time writing this type of story. I hope you enjoy this and ill be glad to keep writing this story. Again, Enjoy :)

This depresses me as this is fairly similar to what happened to me in high school, except she got to say I love you back before moving away. She was one of the few people I enjoyed being around...
