Delta is a old character of mine from my DA account. I decided that if I'm going to get back into the Sonic fandom then I'll give some of my characters new looks. I tried to color his eyes and muzzle with color pencils, but I made the color light for his muzzle and it didn't go through. lots of expressions. I wanted to color his clothes but I haven't quite decided on what kind of dark colors to use other than black and red.
as for the pic of him sleeping against the tree. my advance life drawing teacher told me that I need to work on values since I told her I had no patience for it. I put some shading on Delta and shadowing, then I thought it was a bit bland so I took my blending stump and added more to Delta's clothes and the tree and erased a bit on his boots and pants to add some shine to them. and I only used HB and 2B pencils for the shading. I do like how that bit came out.
I'm keeping most of his back story and adding or changing some of it. I like how Delta came out and I especially like his sad, mad, confused and blushing expressions. I don't particularly like how the blue still appears in the sketches so I may use my 4H and 6H pencils for the outline and use my HB to line over them.
