Natalie, you lovable dork. There is something about this style of drawing that I really enjoy as well. I just noticed her tail is wagging, it's a very nice touch.

Perhaps, but of course, neither Natalie nor myself care about that. Her, because she has a girlfriend, and me, because I like to throw people out of their comfort zone. : )

Not in this case; she just works out! Of course, genetic engineering has made it easier to generally build and keep the body shape you like best, so maybe to some degree that's true.

Ahhh now there's that hip-splosion she's known for. The thinner lines may just do it more justice! She's pretty strong though, eh? Wonder what her abs look like. :x

Also! It strikes me that sex is a pretty fantastic workout, so anyone getting as much sex s a typical post-splice teenager should probably have pretty well-developed stomach, buttock and upper leg muscles. And also a butt-load of general endurance, given how five orgasms is apparently the norm!

Muscle endurance is also different from metaphorically enduring injury? I think maybe there's just a little too much stuff being taken literally here. XD

Well. Suplexes require you to lift quite a lot of weight off the ground and hold it there for a while? So... It would require a lot of muscle strength, to be sure, but geared toward sustained effort as much as explosive power?
So... Both? >.>

I'm quite impressed as to how Natalie can pull off being cute and bad-ass at the same time. Like a kitten in sunglasses, to an extent.
The softer lines that you've started using here and with the recent Carrie picture really work, though, it gives a sense of depth that you might otherwise have to shade the whole thing to get. The little touches on the musculature, that sort of idea.
Although I can't help thinking...Natalie's butt must be getting bigger there.

*laughs* Kitten with sunglasses- that's perfect. I love it. Yeah, this style has been affording me a lot more freedom in the way of expressiveness and shape.
It's just your imagination~! <3

.....you did a real god job displaying how strong she is with that pose. When I saw it, my first thought was "...I do NOT want to be punched by her". The way they are drawn kinda makes me think her arm is built for speed and power.

I find the contrast between the flexing arm and the rest of the body covered with clothing quite interesting actually. It looks a little like slightly different styles.

I'm looking at it again, and I still can't really tell what makes it look so different from your usual style. TELL ME YOUR SECRETS! Please? :D I can see that there are more lines to her hair drawn in so it's not all one solid mass, along with those gorgeous eyes and subtle lines on the bridge of her nose to show depth. I think it's the bridge anyway...the upper part of it.
I also would like to see other characters drawn like this! It looks so very nice!
Don't think I can add much more except that I love her confident grin there.
"Yeah! I've got these babies! No more guns in the future? I think not, welcome to the gun show, POW!"
I know I was blown away. ;3

*grins* It's deceptively simple, but I'll actually show you exactly what's going on. Take a look at this. Now have a gander at this.
They're the same characters, but one set is drawn with very thick lines that take over the 'negative space'- the area between the lines. There's less of it, meaning that you can't get away with fine details like complex-shaped heads, small bits of value to imitate shading (like Natalie's nose as you mentioned) or anything else but just smaller, thick lines to represent things. This is great for animation, but makes it tough to show off a character's actual face and physical features.
*laughs* I think I'm definitely gonna delve further into this style.

now this is brilliant! this is what I was talking about in the critique journal I responded to, this has wonderful flow to it, it is a lot smoother and vibrant on the eyes. it doesn't have the stop-go-stop-go flow to it, its smooth!
