An older character from Jaime's story (this adopt actually fit the image in my head of him nearly perfectly). Ira is a quiet and shy friend, and cousin, of Brock's. From his mother's side of the family, Ira is half Okapi, half white tailed deer. During an abusive relationship with a boyfriend, Ira goes through a severe sexual identity crisis and ends up having an affair with the hermaphroditic zebra Kaelyn, a mutual friend of his and Brock's.
Ira is Brock's best friend and helped him through the very difficult early stages of his relationship with Jaime. He is also on the basketball team with him and despite his shyness, Ira is someone that many of their classmates go to when they need help or advice.
