"GET OUT OF HERE!" Came an angry voice from across the street where Nystra was walking Ainoko. "YOU ARE NO LONGER WELCOME HERE!"
Ainoko's ears perked up as he and his Master looked on as one of the elders who ran that orphanage began throwing out ragged clothing and other assorted belonging to the scared young pup that was standing just outside the building.
"You have been nothing but trouble since coming here." The elderly hare ranted. "You are always fighting or flirting with the other boys here, getting arrested for skipping classes and other atrocities. It's no wonder that no one wants to adopt you, you are way too wild! Go! live your life as a wild animal, see if anyone cares, living that way may just suit you. I know I don't. Who in all that's holy would want a useless feral pup like you?"
Looking up at his Master, Ainoko asked the bunny a silent question if they can do something to save the pup.
"You are right my pet." Nystra said as he began crossing the street towards the orphanage. "It's a good thing that I have an extra collar and lead if we need it for the hare."
The collared hybrid nodded as the two males made it across the street, stopping just behind the enraged hare. The pup grinned when the bunny put a finger to his lips, telling the him not to say anything or even acknowledge that he was there.
"Please Kefrin, give me one more chance." He begged. "I'll behave, I promise!"
"NO!" The hare exclaimed angrily. "I have given you chance after chance after chance even with you begging for mercy. Not this time. Unless there is someone willing to adopt you right now, I am kicking you out onto the street, where to deserve to be."
"Well, I guess that it makes me and my pet the pup's new parents." Nystra said softly, making the hare jump and squeak in fright and the brown pup giggle. "You putting this pup on the streets before he is of age is against the law and I will be reporting you for that. No matter what, he is coming with us. now where are the adoption papers that need to be filled out?"
"B-b-but..." The hare stammered under the smaller bunnies angry glare. "I can't let you have him, you have no spouse or partner, plus I doubt that you have experience taking care of cubs."
"Kefrin..." Nystra said angrily. "My pet and slave and I can handle this young lad. The two of us are very familiar with raising cubs, as Ainoko has two of his own. Either you let us take the boy now or I will get the authorities here now instead of tomorrow and have you shut down immediately."
"Y-y-yes sir!" The hare said before dashing into the orphanage to get the papers.
"What is your name boy?" Nystra asked as he looked the boy over assessing him. "And pick up your belongings, you'll need them for when you move into your new home."
"M-m-my name is Súkkulaði Hvolpur, Cocoa for short." He said caught off guard by the bunnies gruff nature. " Why is he on a collar and lead?"
"Ainoko is that like that because I told him to wear that." Nystra said while watching the pup pick up his belongings. "And he is to remain the way he is until I tell him otherwise. My name is Nystra. Once the papers are singed, you will only address us by our first names. Tomorrow you will get to meet your new brother and sister. Something tells me that the three of you will get along just fine. You are going to be this one time and one time only. You misbehave, run off or do anything that casts Ainoko and I in a bad light, I will tan your hide more than it is now. Or I may even let Diamond, who you will meet tomorrow as well, spray you a few times."
"Yes Nystra." Cocoa said just as Kefrin walked out with the papers in paw.
"H-h-here you go, just put your name, your partner's name on the appropriate lines and sign all four pages." The elderly hare said as he pointed out where the bunny had to sign. "The last paper says that you are not allowed to return this, this pest back to us for any reason what-so-ever, he is to remain under your care and supervision until he turns legal in 7 years."
"I have no intention of letting him loose on society just yet." Nystra said as he finished filling out the paperwork and handing it back the caretaker. "My address is on the forms. I expect for you to personally deliver the rest of Cocoa's belongings to his new home by evening dinner and not a moment later. Come Cocoa it's time t get you home and settled. You make any move to away from Ainoko and I, you will be wearing a collar and lead like he is."
"Yes Nystra." Cocoa said shivering, knowing that this time he definitely met his match. He knew that the bunny meant everything he said, plus he didn't want to be treated like his mother (or was it father? He couldn't tell due to Ainoko's body didn't favor either sex.). He dutifully fallowed his new parents to his new home, wondering who his new siblings were and who was this Diamond that Nystra mentioned.
