Many of you who know me IRL know that I had always been like a walking chimeney. Smoking 2 packs per day for too many years. Fortunately, my health had never went bad because of that for some reason, but with all the tax increases in the end smoking turned out to be like a 'luxury', something made for the very rich.
So I had been thinking for a while to try e-cigs, even though I thought they wouldn't be able to replace the real thing, and when I saw the 'cheetah kit' in some website, I was like 'ok, I definetly need to buy that!', even if it was just for having something with cheetah spots on it >:3
When I got it, I read the instructions to see how to build it and stuff, while smoking a regular one.
Then this drawing represents PERFECTLY the face I made when I first tried it xD It was a luck that the artist had tried it herself!
So this event was on early december last year. From that day, I went from 2 packs per day (40 cigarettes) to zero, in just one day x3 Have smoked 3 'real' cigarettes in 9 or 10 months. I'm saving so much money that I spend it now on more comisshes x3 bye bye smoke! E-cigs ROCK :D

No es que fuera facil xD Es que el efecto que tuvo fue que la siguiente vez que fume uno normal me supo raro... con lo que la transicion al electronico fue 'instantanea'. A los dos dias ya no queria fumar uno normal. Los dos o tres que he fumado entremedias ha sido o bien porque me pilló fuera y se me habia quedado sin bateria el e-cig o porque me insistieron tanto que dije 'vaaaale' xD Pero en ningun caso me supo 'bien' del todo y desde luego, aunque sigo siendo adicto a la nicotina y a 'chupar', no tengo ninguna necesidad de fumar cigarrillos 'de verdad'.

There're now places where they say that it can give you intoxication for heavy metals (particles that get from the battery, the resistence and other parts that come along with the inhaled vapour), but they could very well be hoaxes tobacco industries come up with to try to demonize it. Anyway, the idea is to lower the nicotine level progressivelly. Don't think that vapping for 2 or 3 years could be worse than smoking for 25! xD

Woot! I dunno if they have them in Spain, but here the local craze amongst the younger furs here in America is e-hookahs. They're like e-cigs, a bit larger, but refillable, and rechargeable, so all you have to pay for is the fluids, which come in a number of flavors, including "tobacco". You can also get them in full nicotine, half nicotine and nicotine free, if you want to wean yourself off nicotine.
Our local "head" shop(drug paraphernalia shop) sells them for about $30 American. A bottle of the refill fluids(good for about 2-3 months worth of smoking depending on how much you smoke) will cost about $10.

Well, mine is large, refillable and rechargeable xD Most e-cigs are like that. Granted there are single-use ones, but those are expensive in the long run. The eGo, which is the one I use, has replaceable batteries, replaceable deposits and of course you can refill it many times before having to replace the $5 resistence (every 15 days), so yeah, in the end, vapping is about 20 or 50 times cheaper than smoking and, at least for me, feels exactly the same xD

Americans always use fancy names for everything! ;D Here it's all called generically e-cigs. The ones you're pointing me at would be 'disposable e-cigs'. They can't be recharged or refilled, mostly what they sell to you on planes or what you can get for wedding gifts (for the guests). But when people speak about e-cigs here these are the usual ones :)

We have those here. We also have versions that can be recharged and have little cartridges you can replace. My wife has been using those recently to try to quit smoking. It's been tough for her, but she's getting there...

Salmy's a teen, and teens are bond to experiment, and they don't always take the right decisions, so yeah, he smokes sometimes, and also tries the e-cig cuz he loves technology, and it's cheaper, and doesn't leave a bad smell :D
