A New Power Arising part 5

The next morning passed as Serene was still wondering, and worrying where Flame was. Her concerns for him wouldn’t cease anytime soon until he is back home in the Guardian City. Serene was pacing in her house, trying to ponder up some way of finding Flame and bring him back home. But to no avail, she was unable to come up with some way of reaching him. Many search parties have been trying to look for Flame for a long time already, or what seems like it. All of the parties all came back with the same results. All were unable to find Flame. This only made matters worse on Serene’s end, she couldn’t sleep right without Flame by her side; she couldn’t really focus that much anymore without him either. All of the residents were very worried about Serene’s status right now, and they knew that things only get worse as time progresses without finding Flame. Sage, Kage, Lily, Aero, Blizz, Elegon, Sebastian, Lily’s new boyfriend, all decided to go and check up on Serene all at once to see how things are going for her.
The small group gathered at Serene’s front door at around 9:40am and as soon as everyone was there, Aero knocked on her door and they all waited for her to answer it. A few moments passed and Serene opened the door and she had a shocked look on her face when all of her friends were there, all of them with concerned looks in their eyes.
“Um...” Serene stuttered a little bit “Would you all like to come in?”
“That would be most welcoming.” Aero said.
“Oh, please come in then” Serene said nervously. Serene opened the door all the way and motioned for everyone to come inside her home. One by one, all of them walked in her house. After everyone came in Serene closed the door behind them.
“Any luck on finding Flame yet?” Serene asked with a saddened tone in her voice.
“So far nothing has come up Serene; we are still trying to find him though. We have search parties going far and wide to try and find him. But to our knowledge of the situation, nothing has come up yet.” Aero explained dreadfully.
“I see...” Serene said disappointingly
“Serene, we are trying our best to find him.” Sage said.
“We will not stop until he is found, so don’t worry about that.” Kage said.
“Thanks guys, I appreciate all the effort you are putting into this for me. I am not really myself without Flame by my side.” Serene said sounding even more depressed.
Elegon’s eyes were glowing a faint blue for a few seconds and then he said to Aero and Blizz telepathically “We really need to be going now and to continue the search for Flame. As time progresses, things will only get worse.”
“Serene, the Elders and I need to be heading off now to continue the search for Flame.” Aero said.
“Alright then Aero, goodbye Elders and good luck with the search, please let me know if you find anything out there.” Serene said with a mixture of sadness and hope.
“Of course Serene.” Blizz said as she put her hand on Serene’s shoulder “Please just give it some time and we will find Flame” Serene nodded at Blizz and the Elders all waved goodbye to everyone and everyone waved goodbye back to them. The Elders headed out through the front door and closed it behind them.
“Serene, Kage and I need to be leaving as well to assist the Elders in the searches as well” Sage said.
“Alright Sage. Goodbye and good luck with your searches as well. I wish for the best of luck.” Serene said hopefully and with a smile on her face.
“Thank you my lady.” Kage said formally and bowed in front of Serene. Kage and Sage headed out the front door as well and closed it behind them.
“Serene, if you want, me and Sebastian here can keep you company if you want us to.” Lily said with a hint of enthusiasm in her voice.
“That would be lovely Lily. So Sebastian is your name huh?” Serene said looking at Sebastian in his eyes. He blushed a little bit, showing his shy side of himself. “Yes, that is my name. It is a pleasure to meet you Protector” Sebastian said and he took a bow for Serene showing respect towards her.
“Ah thank you, but such formality isn’t required for me though. But it is a good thing that you have manners and show respect. I like that.” Serene said smiling.
“Yeah so do I!” Lily said kissing Sebastian on the cheek. He blushed a little bit.
“I can’t wait for you two to get married someday. I would love to see that happen.” Serene said excitingly. Both of them blushed at her comment as both of them knew that that day would come eventually.
“I can already see it now...Once that wonderful day comes, you will never forget it.” Serene said. Both of them were spacing out at the same time, as if they were both thinking about it at the same time. Serene laughed a little bit and that brought both of them back to their senses.
“I can’t believe I spaced out after hearing that.” Sebastian thought to himself.
“There I go again spacing out about that.” Lily thought to herself. Both of them were blushing and then they looked at each other and knew that they spaced out about the same thing. They continued to gaze into each others eyes and then both of them leaned closer and closer to each other until their lips touched and then they began to kiss each other.
“Aww.” Serene said with happiness and with a smile on her face “You two are just made for each other.” Lily and Sebastian finally broke their kiss after a few moments and they continued to gaze deeply into each others eyes. “I guess we are.” Sebastian said.
“I know we are...” Lily said softly and she kissed Sebastian on the lips once again.
Meanwhile, back at U.P.R.A. Flame was moved from his original container he was in to a much bigger and rounder one, also filled with a strange purple liquid. He was in suspended-animation, unconscious and breathing. Dr.Green and the other doctors were busily working on the final preparations for Flame. The Boss had an evil grin on his face as he continued to look at Flame.
“Sir...Everything is set for the operation to begin now.” Dr.Green reported in.
“Most excellent! Begin at once.” The Boss said impatiently.
“Roger that sir. Being the operation now!” Dr.Green shouted across the room at another doctor. The other doctor nodded his head and began to flip a few switches and a hissing noise was heard from Flame’s container and then after all of the purple liquid was drained out of the machine Flame was laying in his container and he slowly began to cough and wake up. Flame was still coughing and looking around the room he was being stored in. He could see that everyone was looking at him and then shortly after he realized what he was in and began to panic.
“Relax Gallade...” The Boss said calmly. Flame looked at the Boss and immediately gave him an evil look.
“Hmph. You won’t be giving me that look much longer Gallade.” The Boss said with a slight tone of disappointment.
“Grr...” Flame growled at him “My name is Flame, what do you want with me?” Flame asked the Boss telepathically.
“Well Flame, you will know soon enough...” The Boss said and then his evil grin returned to his face.
“What is that supposed to mean?!” Asked an angry Gallade.
“Restrain him at once doctor.” The boss said. One of the doctors by a control panel flipped some more switches and the metal claws came out of nowhere beneath Flame and instantly grabbed him and held him down. No matter how much he tried to get out, all of his struggling lead him no where.
“Now, add the injections.” The Boss commanded calmly. The doctor flipped another switch and another robotic arm came out of nowhere with a syringe in its hand. The syringe was filled with this bright pink liquid and once the arm was close to Flame’s neck, he was injected with it and began to calm down and stop struggling.
“Good Flame...Just relax, you are going to be serving me for a good time. So you might as well get used to it.” The Boss said.
“Argh...Serene...Please save me...I need you Serene!!” That is what Flame’s last words were before he lost all thought in his own mind. “Now open the container and begin to set him up with the equipment.” The Boss commanded once again. The same doctor by the console typed on the computer and flipped some switches. The container slowly opened and Flame got up and just stood there...He had a lifeless look in his eyes. He stood absolutely still, and his eyes changed from a red color to a white color with black outlining.
Now Flame, just sit back and enjoy your “modifications”...” The Boss said with excitement. Flame nodded at his statement. About ten robotic arms came through an open wall and those arms were carrying bright silver armor shaped that it would only fit for a Gallade. The arms immediately placed the armor on Flame in a matter of seconds. After the armor was placed, the only thing you can see is Flame’s head. But another robotic arm came in and placed the final piece of armor on Flame. Flame looked completely different; he was dawned with shiny silver and white armor. The armor itself gave Flame a different appearance as well; he may as well look like a robot.
“Amazing...” The Boss said with gleam in his eyes “I never thought this would be so amazing to see this actually happening. Come here Flame.” The Boss said and motioned for him to come closer. Flame nodded and jumped towards the Boss and landed right beside him. “We have much to discuss Flame. Please come with me.” The Boss said as he walked out of the room, Flame followed closely behind. Dr.Green was awestruck as he saw this “I can’t believe how far our research has brought us. This is absolutely amazing, but this shouldn’t be a way to capture poke’mon...” Dr.Green thought to himself.
Serene, Lily and Sebastian were all having a nice conversation when all of a sudden Serene’s eyes turned big and her face was put into a shock.
“Serene! What’s wrong?” Lily asked with great concern for her. Serene didn’t respond and was staring out in space.
“Serene, say something!” Sebastian said more worried about Serene now. Serene still was unresponsive and her eyes began to swell up with tears. A few moments passed after her crying and she finally said “Flame...Flame needs my help!”
“Flame?!” Lily said shocked and confused at the same time.
“Yes...His last words to me where “Argh...Serene...Please save me...I need you Serene!!”” Serene said crying tears for him after he said that.
“Do you know where he is Serene?!” Lily asked her.
“Yes, I was able to trace down his last thoughts and where he is.” Serene said sobbingly.
“We need to inform the others on this and hurry up and get over there, he needs everyone’s help!” Sebastian said hastily. Serene wiped her tears from her face “Of course, we must hurry now.” Serene said. The three of them ran out the door and immediately headed towards the palace where the Elders should be at.
“Flame...Please, I beg of you, hold on and wait for me. I will come for you and save you.” Serene thought as a tear was flowing down her right cheek while she was running to the palace.
