A New Power Arising part 3

A few more days have passed. Flame and Serene were still enjoying their honeymoon together. The two of them were happy as can be; no worries from the Elders or anyone else in the city. It was just them and they could do whatever they wanted to do. But, U.P.R.A. wasn’t just sitting around. They were finishing any parts of the training and setting up all the preparations for capture. The organization would commence the operation very soon...Flame and Serene will surely have one tough challenge trying to get through this one.
While at the HQ of U.P.R.A. everyone on staff was setting up for the operation. As for Fredrick, Douglas, Charles, and Armando, they were all geared up and ready to go. They were just waiting in the Hangar Area to depart from the base, but the Boss hasn’t given the order yet to commence the operation and have the squad leave the HQ. The radio crackled on and the Boss’s voice could be heard, he said “Alright solders, now it is time to begin. I want you to make this as quick and swiftly as possible, we need to do this quickly so we can forward our own research. For U.P.R.A.!” The men understood their orders; they stood in a salute and said “For United Poke’mon Research Association!” Then the hanger’s bay doors were slowly opening and showing the bright sunlight of the Sun’s rays. After the bay doors were opened, they squad walked in a drop ship and then a few minutes later then drop ship left the hanger and started flying away in the brightly filled sky to their destination.
‘Today is going to be fun, right squad?” Douglas said over his radio.
“Of course, this is going to be interesting as well if I say so myself” Charles replied.
“Alright, enough chattering back there.” The Pilot said “We are almost at the destination.”
“Roger that.” Fredrick replied calmly.
“Alright, the arrival time will be in about 10 more minutes at this speed we are going.” The Pilot sounded a little disappointed in his statement.
“You want to pick up the speed Ray?” Armando asked.
“Nah, I think it might be better if we stay like this.” Ray replied to Armando.
After about 10 or so minutes of flying through the brightly lit and cloudy sky, the drop ship came to a stop in the air and was slowly descending towards the ground. The drop ship landed on the ground and the back door of the drop ship quickly opened up and all of the men in armor ran out of the door and went straight into the forest. The Drop Ship’s door slowly closed up and was just idly waiting. The squad was trying to map out the area accordingly, but they were confused to as why the map wasn’t correct. They squad decided to stop worrying about it and then continued on with the mission.
Back at the Guardian City, Flame and Serene were walking around the city enjoying another day being together. They seemed to be the happiest couple alive right now. Flame and Serene wanted to check to see if there is anything new happening with the Elders. So they headed towards the direction where the Palace was. Soon after that, Flame and Serene arrived at the Palace and walked in it. They walked into the main room where usually all of the Elders were at. As usual, the Elders were all in there.
“Welcome Protectors! What brings you here today?” Aero asked.
“Well once again Aero, we are here to check up on things to see if we are needed anywhere.” Flame said.
“Well Flame, I don’t think you are needed any where right now. Everything is going fine here. Now, you two go enjoy yourselves, you two are still on your honeymoon, correct?” Elegon asked.
“Yes we are.” Serene said happily. Serene was hugging Flame and then Flame said “Well, if we aren’t needed here, we will be off now. Make sure to try and get us if we are needed.”
“Sure, sure Flame. Have fun now!” Aero said. Flame and Serene walked out of the Palace and started to walk the streets of the city.
As the squad was slowly getting through the forest, they saw what looked like to be a city of some kind. But, they weren’t exactly sure about it because of the dense forest.
“Halt!” Fredrick said as he raised his hand in the air giving the signal to wait.
“What is it Fredrick?” Charles asked with confusion.
“I think we may have found our destination, but I am not too sure yet, so I just wanted to look at it some more, anyways, we are going to move up a little bit.” Fredrick said. Fredrick motioned his hand forward, giving the squad a command to move forward. They followed Fredrick’s command, they squad was slowly getting through the dense forest to the city. After a minute of slowly going through the forest, the squad had finally arrived at the edge of the forest where they could get a clearer view of the city.
“This is it boys...The city...” Charles said.
“How are we going to find the right poke’mon the Boss wanted again?” Douglas asked.
“The Boss said the Gallade and Gardevoir are dressed in wedding attire and are wearing necklaces. Also, with the wedding attire, it stands out more than other Gardevoir and Gallade’s wedding dresses.” Armando explained.
“Hmm...Now how to approach this...” Fredrick said.
“Well first off. We don’t want to harm any of the poke’mon at all.” Douglas said.
“Also, we want to try and not to hurt and Ralts or Kirlias as well.” Charles added on.
“We just need to find the targets and then evacuate immediately.” Armando added on as well.
“Yes...Let’s all keep that in mind for this. Now, we should just do some scouting for now. Just to see if we can find them.” Fredrick said.
“Roger that. Let’s go!” Douglas said. The squad walked out of the dense forest and went invisible thanks to the suits technology. Also, the squad activated their Psyjam equipment as well to make sure they can’t be sensed by a psychic presence. Basically, they were invisible to anyone in the city which will make it easy for them to scout out. Now the squad had entered the city, they easily snuck past the guards. Now they were searching for Flame and Serene...
“Ah Serene, my love. What would you like to do today?” Flame asked happily.
“Hmm, I really don’t know, we have done just about everything we can do already. I think we should just relax today.” Serene said.
“Ah, that is fine by me. But I still will be patrolling the city then.” Flame said.
“Okay, I will be with you on your patrol then. We both have to keep this city safe from danger.” Serene said
“Yes we do, we are both Protectors after all. Now let’s go.” Flame said. Flame and Serene were walking hand-in-hand looking for anything suspicious happening. To them, it was just an ordinary day. The residents of the city were happily enjoying their day; all of them had no cares in the world to deal with. Flame and Serene continued their patrol through the city, but to them nothing was going on, but they still kept going on.
As the squad was moving through the city, they already put some Gardevoirs and Gallades to sleep on accident. Then they had to hide those poke’mon from sight right away because of their mistakes they have made.
“Man, this is getting annoying having to take out these poke’mon on accident.” Fredrick said.
“If this keeps up we are going to have to leave, after the poke’mon wake up, they are going to know an intruder is here.” Douglas said worryingly.
“Right, now let’s pick up the pace now.” Charles said.
“Let’s move out now.” Fredrick said. The squad continues their search for Flame and Serene...They accidentally put some Gardevoirs and Gallades to sleep. And they squad had to keep the poke’mon out of sight, so they hid the poke’mon in any open alleyways, or in any dark place they could find in the middle of the day.
Flame and Serene continued their patrol through the city, they both had a weird feeling something was going on. As they both were aware of how many poke’mon were walking around earlier in some of the spots they patrolled, but now, the number of residents was a little bit smaller than before.
“Flame, I think something is suspicious right now.” Serene said worryingly
Flame sighed and said “Yes, I know Serene. But what? Is the question.”
“Who knows, but we have to find what it is quickly.” Serene said in a hastily tone.
“Yes, let’s go see what is happening around here. I don’t like it whatever it is.” Flame said with a hint of anger in his voice. Flame and Serene were running through the city now to see if anything was to be found for them.
The squad was still moving through the city, but to no avail in finding the Protectors. They squad new time was running short because the poke’mon that were put to sleep were going to wake up soon. The squad was trying to rush through the city, but still trying to stay silent as possible. Just then, the squad saw another couple running through the city in wedding attire and then noticed that the couple that were wearing extravagant wedding attire and necklaces. Fredrick, who was leading the squad immediately stopped and signaled everyone else to do the same. Flame and Serene still didn’t notice the squad even though they are very close by, approximately sixty feet apart from each other.
“Fredrick, aren’t we supposed to just capture the Gallade for now?” Douglas asked over his radio.
“Yes. Now, let’s begin this...” Fredrick said with a hint of sadness in his voice.
“Flame, do you sense anything here?” Serene asked worryingly.
“No, I can’t sense anything right now, what about you?” Flame asked even more worryingly than Serene.
“No, I can’t sense anything either...” Serene said with disappointment.
“Grr...” Said an angered Flame “We need to split up then, you will head left and I will head right. That will give us a better chance to see what is happening.”
“Alright Flame. Let’s hurry up, I don’t like where this is going...” Serene said uneasily.
But to their demise Flame was heading straight towards the squad. But the squad members wanted to make sure the Gardevoir wouldn’t be troublesome while they were in the midst of capturing Flame. Flame and Serene were spreading farther and farther apart as they continued to run in different directions. After the squad thought they were far enough away from each other, Fredrick gave a signal to move out and follow Flame’s footsteps. Flame continued to run through the city, but to no avail in finding out what is going on. He stopped running for a couple of seconds, but that was the biggest mistake he could make...
“Now! Put him to sleep!” Fredrick yelled over his radio. Everyone fired three rounds at Flame, all of them impacting Flame. Flame stumbled around for a little bit, but then eventually fell to the ground. While Flame was on the ground, he was still struggling to get back up, but he couldn’t move at all, and eventually passed out. The squad moved in on Flame and restrained him with the net. Charles and Armando picked up Flame’s body and all of them were running out of the city. With their mission complete, they radioed in for the drop ship to be ready for takeoff when they arrived on scene. Finally, Fredrick, Douglas, Charles, and Armando left the city outskirts and then Douglas looked back and saw that a few poke’mon were awaking from their slumber.
“That was way too close for comfort.” Douglas thought to himself. All of the men ran into the forest and was heading in the direction where the drop ship was waiting for them. All of them had arrived on scene a short-while after and ran in the back door of the drop ship. With everyone in and ready to go Fredrick gave the command for takeoff and the drop ship lifted itself in the air and headed for HQ.
“Mission success boys.” Fredrick said.
“A job well done if I say so myself.” Charles said.
“Except for a few mishaps that occurred” Armando said with a little uneasiness in his voice.
“Besides that, we did fine.” Douglas replied to Armando.
“Anyways, we did a good job, now we just need to see what will unfold in the Boss’s big plan...” Fredrick said cautiously.
