A New Power Arising part 1
This is the sequel to The Chosen Protector, please read that if you haven't already or else you won't understand what is going on here.
Two guys were walking on the streets at night, wearing black trench coats. The two guys had a nervous look on their faces, like something will be happening soon.
“Douglas, where are we supposed to meet the others again?” asked one of the men.
“Fredrick, you really need to remember the details of our meetings.” Douglas released a heavy sigh, and then started explaining the details. “Okay Fredrick, we are supposed to meet everyone at the local library at 8:00pm to discuss about a group of poke’mon that are very powerful and who is the ringleader behind them.”
“Thank you for explaining that. That helps me understand what’s going to happen.” Fredrick said, Fredrick looked at his watch on his left wrist, it said it was “7:43pm”.
“We might want to start heading over to the library now Douglas.” Fredrick said. Fredrick and Douglas headed over towards the library at a fast pace, to make sure they are not late for the meeting.
The time was 7:58pm when Fredrick and Douglas arrived at the library. “I wonder where everyone is...” Fredrick said.
“I don’t know where everyone is, but we should just wait for them.” Douglas said.
Fredrick looked at his watch once again and it said it was 8:00pm. Fredrick and Douglas were still standing outside of the library looking around for the other members. Just then, a man wearing black glasses, a black sweater with the word “Fighter” inscribed in red and it was on the front of the sweater, he was also wearing blue jeans and black shoes. Then the man said “Fredrick? Douglas?”
Fredrick and Douglas then said “Yes. Has the meeting started yet?”
“Alright then, yes it has started, please follow me” The Man said.
“Lead the way Charles.” Douglas said. Fredrick and Douglas followed Charles into the library. Charles led them through the library to where four tables, with four chairs at each of the tables. The preparations were made for the meeting to head underway.
“Charles, where is everyone?” whispered Douglas.
“They are all hiding right now; they don’t want to set up until everyone is here and ready to go.” Replied Charles in a whispered voice.
“Is everyone here then?” Asked Fredrick.
“Yes, the meeting will begin now. Just take a seat anywhere you want.” Charles said.
Fredrick and Douglas took their seats that were closest to them. Shortly after, people came from different parts of the library and took their seats as well. Charles took a seat across Douglas and another guy took a seat across Fredrick. Everyone was in their seats and waiting for the boss to come.
After a few minutes passed by, a large man wearing business type attire showed up. He was looking around at everyone and then said “The meeting will now begin.”
Charles stood up and said “Alright sir. Now for the first order of business, is the two poke’mon you want?”
“Yes, the Gardevoir and Gallade...I want to capture them and make them a part of this team. We will need to capture them no matter what the cost is, no matter what!” The Boss said as he started pacing back and fourth thinking about it.
“Now, for capturing them. You don’t want to let them know you are there when you are capturing them. That’s why I recommend capturing the Gallade first, his psychic powers aren’t as strong as the Gardevoir’s power, but try to keep a safe distance from him unless you want a beating. After his capture, we need to take him back to the base and store him there for a little bit. Also keep a close watch on him as well and try to test out our new technology on him. The Psyjam prototype ABX, once this technology has the adjustments set, we can suppress his psychic powers and disable any psychic power in a four-hundred and fifty foot radius.” The Boss explained.
“But what about the physical part of him?” Asked one of the other members.
“Have patience Armando, I am getting there...” The Boss said in an irritated tone.
“Uh, I’m sorry sir. I won’t interrupt again sir.” Armando was silent after that, waiting for the Boss to continue on with the meeting.
“Now then, if I may continue...Okay now, for the physical part of holding him in the container. If necessary, we might have to do some kind of torture, I had a few ideas about it, but I will tell you them when the time is right. Okay, now for the Gardevoir...I have a feeling that the Gallade we capture is her mate. So in turn she might do anything to get him back, which we could use to our advantage. We will have to find a way to lead her to the base, once inside; we have the best chance of capturing her.” The Boss explained.
Charles stood up once again and said “Sir, can you give a little more detail on how we are going to capture the Gallade and Gardevoir without them knowing we are there?”
“Charles I am glad you asked that question I would love to answer that for you.” The Boss said.
“Alright sir.” Charles said and then sat back down in his chair.
“Okay now for the details on the capture. I need four volunteers to be a part of this capture.” The Boss said as he was looking around the room expecting to see some volunteers. Charles stood up and said “I will do it sir!”
Shortly after he said that Fredrick and Douglas up as well and said “We volunteer sir.”
“Now we just need one more volunteer...” The Boss said as he was looking around the room.
Armando sighed and said “I guess I will give it a shot as well.”
“Great! Now we have our volunteers, now I can continue with the details. All of you will be testing out our new equipment we have been developing for months now” The Boss said.
Another team member walked in with a projector and started a slideshow with the pictures of the equipment on it. The first picture that was showed was a battle-suit of armor. The armor itself was intimidating to look at, it looked very dangerous and it also looked like it was from the future as well.
“Now I will tell you about this toy of mine. This suit of armor will protect you from almost any attack that could be thrown at you. Don’t worry about any psychic attacks that will be thrown at you as well. There are Psyjam ABXs located throughout the armor, three of them to be exact. Their locations are, one of them is on the back of the helmet, one of them is located at the left forearm as well, and the last one is on the back of the armor. Now let me tell you some details on the helmet. On the visor of the helmet, it has a 3D map layout of the area you are in for a one-mile radius. It is also equipped with Night-Vision, Thermal-Vision, and what I like to call Psy-Vision. Psy-Vision will help you keep track of the Gardevoir and Gallade easier by being able to pick up psychic traces of energy. Also the helmet has a built in tracking device as well as a radio so you can communicate with each other. I know this armor looks big and you think it would make a lot of noise; well...It doesn’t at all. It is extremely quite, depending on how you use it. Anyways, you guys will learn that the suit can do once you try it out.” The Boss explained.
Then after the Boss was done talking, the member changed the picture of the slideshow. It was now showing a rifle, grenades, a net, and a small black box.
“What you see here is the equipment that you will be using on your capture. This is state-of-the-art equipment here.” The Boss said.
“Sir, if I may say something. All of the equipment here looks like we might be able to start a small war with this stuff.” Fredrick said.
“Yes I know Fredrick, but we aren’t going to start a small war. We are just going to capture poke’mon.” The Boss said.
“Sir, this seems a little too much for just capturing poke’mon, this equipment looks life threatening to human and poke’mon alike.” Fredrick said.
“I know this; now let me explain the equipment you will be using on this capture.” The Boss said.
“Okay sir.” Fredrick said.
“Ah hem! Now if I may continue once again. Let me first explain the rifle” The Boss pointed at the rifle in the picture. “This is called the Marksman 26 Future Carbine or M26FC for short. This rifle can take down targets around a thousand yards; it has three different firing modes you can use. Stun, for stopping the poke’mon in their tracks. Sleep, for putting them to sleep for about 80 minutes. And Kill, only use this as a last resort...Anyways, each clip can carry about 100 rounds; it also comes with a scope for more precision on the long shots. A laser, for more accuracy, and a front-grip handle to make sure the recoil of the gun doesn’t mess up your accuracy when firing. So basically you have everything you need for the rifle. Now let me explain these grenades you will be using. These are called PSG or Psy Disrupter Grenade. After the grenades are activated, they have a five second timer and after those five seconds are up these grenades explode, releasing a blue electric field with a fifty-foot radius. Anything that is caught in this bubble, their psychic powers will be useless for about five minutes. So this grenade is perfect for stopping the poke’mon. Now, let me explain this net. After you have stopped them, you will need to use this net to keep the poke’mon from escaping. This net can hold any poke’mon down, so don’t worry about any escapes. Now for explaining my favorite item you guys will be using. This little box is called BCM1 or Black Coffin Mach 1. All this thing does is provide you with a cloaking field around you and the armor. This box also comes equipped with a psy disrupter built into it. Now I think that does it for explaining everything about the poke’mon...” The Boss explained.
“Sir! Why don’t we discuss about the other group rising in power now.” Said Fredrick.
“Ah. Sorry to say, but my time is almost up and I don’t have enough time to explain or discuss about that matter.” The Boss said. “I need to be going back to HQ now...And now I call this meeting adjourned. I bid all of you farewell and I hope to start the operation soon.” The Boss said as he looked around the room, waved goodbye to everyone and then walked off.
Armando stood up and walked towards Fredrick, Douglas and Charles and said “It might just be me...But I am expressing some doubts about this operation. I just have a feeling terrible things will happen soon...”
“Armando. There is nothing to be worried about. Think of this as just another capture. We are all in this Armando; don’t worry about your feelings towards the mission. The only thing you should worry about is failing the Boss.” Charles reasoned with Armando, trying to make him feel more comfortable with the mission.
Armando sighed heavily and said “We should head back to HQ as well now. We need to start our training now.”
“Yeah, sure thing Armando.” Fredrick said.
“Let’s go now.” Said Douglas.
The small group of men left the library and walked back to HQ in the cold, dark night. Meanwhile, back at the Guardian City...Flame and Serene were enjoying their first night together on their honeymoon. They were dancing the night away together. It was a wondrous sight to see two newlywed poke’mon dancing together in their wedding attire. Flame and Serene’s dancing was perfect, they were never out of step with each other, they could always predict each others dance moves. In turn, they could dance flawlessly with each other, the only time they would stop, was to kiss each other passionately.
“Flame, your dancing never ceases to amaze me.” Serene said blissfully.
“Glad to know Serene. We will have many more dances together at the days go on...Or should I say nights together.” Flame said with a smile on his face.
The young, happy couple continued to dance the night away, under the moonlight and star-filled sky. After an hour or so of dancing, the young, happy couple decided to call it a rest for the night and went into their house. Then they went into their bedroom and slept next to each other for the rest of the night.
