This reminds me of "Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge" by Ambrose Bierce. The story is that of a man who is about to be hanged. He is thinking of his family before he dies. Just as he is executed the rope unexpectedly breaks, and the man escapes. He is shot at, but eludes them and makes his way home. Just as he is about to be reunited with his family his body is hit by a tremendous shock and all goes black. The whole escape was nothing more than a fantasy that took place in the last seconds of his life.

Well.. excluding flashbacks like the beach scene and the kitty harem, the events of chapter 2 happens at the same time of chapter 1 (from the point of view of different characters Angel and Bryce) ..both lines join in the final page which is the same ending on both chapters.. i promised start directly with the events after that on next chapter
