My daughter and I went fursuiting for the first time at Worldcon 71 / LoneStarCon 3. I spent since last December making our matching fox fursuits. These photos of us were taken by my wife, at the con. Our whole family attended the event and had a very fun time.
The first pic is how my daughter and I looked as 'Hall costumes'. We each won a hall costume award ribbon as soon as the Masquerade staff saw our fursuits.
The next pics of us are just after competing in the Masquerade costume contest, but before we knew if we had won anything yet on the big costume competition. In that competition, there were 26 entries, in a variety of classes. Not sure how many were children, novice, journeyman or master class. I'll know in a month or so, once I can get the video of the whole Masquerade show.
The last pic is our awards. In addition to the two hall costume ribbons, in the Masquerade we won the novice class for both Workmanship (one ribbon for me as maker), and for Presentation (a ribbon for both of us, for our dance routine to "Weird Science". (That pic is by me.)
I'll post more pics of us running around the con as friends and other con folk e-mail the pics to us.
