Demordicai Diamonds Character Art

I finally got around to doing some new Demordicai Diamonds character concept art! I've never drawn Rispa up until now and she is so far is one of the newest characters to be introduced into Demordicai Diamonds. Lol, I joke about the comic taking forever to get to the point where Juna makes her appearance but Rispa first appearance time has Juna's beat by about 2 years in the comic's time line.

A little about Rispa (I'm still working on it as she is still quite new):

Rispa Hadley hails from the country of Romadia and is one of Queen Laurabelle's 12 "feathers" (royal advisers). She is the Chief Feather and thus works closely with the other 11 feathers, each one reporting only to Rispa and the Queen above her. She essentially functions as Queen Laurabelle's right hand in most matters but also serves as a sort of spy master in the court, having numerous informants littered throughout the country both in high, noble places, and in low, common places.

For most of her young life, Rispa spent her life working in the brothels of Romadia. She was born a commoner but in a twist of fate, ended up meeting the then Princess Laurabelle during some of her off-time after being to work some special "parties" at one of the royal estates. The two of them established a friendship that would prove pivotal for the success of both of them later in the future. Years later when Laurabelle found herself the last remaining member of her family and ascended to the throne, much to the surprise of many other powerful individuals considering she was dead last in line behind all of her mysteriously deceased siblings, Laurabelle called upon Rispa to aid her and granted her title and wealth in return, pulling her straight from the brothels and straight into the highest ranks of Romadian nobility. If there was ever anyone she trusted most, especially in the wake of the deaths of her family, it would be Rispa.

In the following years after Queen Laurabelle's coronation, Rispa's skills and knowledge proved pivotal to foiling several assassination plots against Queen Laurabelle. In recent times, Laurabelle's reformations have drastically increased tensions between her and other noble houses of power in Romadia and her being the last of her line has put Romadia's current monarch in a very precarious position as whispers of a potential coup on the horizon make there way around the country. To the Queen, this makes Rispa and her services absolutely vital.

Since becoming one of the 12 feathers of the Queen, Rispa now owns the brothel she used to work in along with many others in the country, drawing large amounts of wealth from them along with what she earns for her duties to the crown. Besides profit from her brothels, Rispa also uses them as a tool for information gathering to the point of her brothels essentially being a spy network.

Personality-wise, Rispa tends to be level-headed and practical but is a little lacking in compassion sometimes (especially noticeable when she has to take on the role of royal interrogator getting info from people she doesn't like or know). She takes her job seriously and acts at least semi-professional most of the time while she's on duty with the occasional saucy joke or tale from time to time. She's not really one for formalities and speaks more loosely with those that she knows well but she doesn't slack at formalities when it comes to other important individuals outside of her social circle. Rispa has a knack for interpreting information and seeing the big picture and is pretty proficient when it comes to wielding a knife or two, preferring small, easily concealed weapons over anything else.
