A while back Kenny asked us cubs if a few of us wanted to appear in a kinda protest pic for venting reasons.

while we lament the actions Furaffinity had to take it's AP were protesting here not FA there the reason for all the drama and they stole allot of munny from FA.

See... but... how does this help anything?

AP stole munny, which caused FA to do something that hurt us which caused us to be sad face which caused us to show up in this pic. That's all there is to it what this has to have some kind of point? it's exactly what I said it was, just to express our own feelings.

i think what he means is, a pic of some cubs [the reason AP dropped FA in the first place] protesting it isnt going to help. the cub furs are going to have to pull on some big-boy pants, actually get out there and make a valid point in a mature manner. you may roleplay young characters, but to truly fight it, people will only listen to a mature, adult human, not the character you roleplay.

I've been thinking similarly. However, a lot of people refuse to listen, regardless how you approach it. That's one reason I almost never act very cublike unless I am with my mate, even though I do enjoy being cubby. Although I never lose my icon...

For awhile now, I've been thinking us cubs need to spend more time trying to make buddies outside our particular group. While it's all cute to show cub critters protesting and gearing up for epic battle... it's not very practical in this instance >.<

I've been without a computer for a while and have been getting by by using friends or family members so I'm kinda out of the loop. Whats all this about my dear FA losing money. FA user name bloodfox.

I honestly thought the AP stood for "Adult Porn" before I read the comments.

I know this is way old now, but I thought it meant Age Play, and was meant to be ironic.

Interesting... I use AlertPay because PayPal locked my account down with >$80 without any reason to do so. They apparently did a random credit check and Experian didn't have enough information about me because I mostly use cash. Also, from what I understand, AlertPay was only the most recent company to drop FurAffinity. I think the real lesson for people and businesses is to get your money out of online transfer services ASAP instead of using them as a second bank account.

Did you take comis pay of it?

( Well, http:www.m-w.com doesn't recognize "comis" as a word, so I don't understand the question. I'll try anyways, though.) I've only sent and received a few payments through the service, but my main point was to not trust an internet company with fairly large portions of money for extended periods of time.

"Did you take commission pay over it?"

I heard from another artist that paypal frowns upon money for art, and such. If you put in the note it's for art or something like that they ban your account.

The only art I feel that I'm talented enough to sell is edible. And I'd rather take cash for food, since I don't mail it anywhere. Also, why would you post any reason for payment? It's nobody's business. When I buy/sell things online, the "reason for payment" box reads "online purchase", "purchase of goods", or something to that extent. But my paypal account got closed because of a random credit check, which I mentioned already. It didn't pertain to the content of my purchases.

Somethings fishy to me. They're doing cub for years, and now it's an issue. SO big an issue they banned Sonic for underage issues. Why it's an issue NOW is what I'm wondering. I'm also wondering why AP is so important to make so many bans to please them.
HeavyHeart

From what I heard, ap wasn't even aware of the cub. Until some snitch pointed it out to them.

As I understand it. Also, evidently the same people hit every money transaction site, telling them about it, and it's not just ap :/

Well, that's shitty! Some just has it out for FA. Some they might have to ban all porn.
HeavyHeart
13 years, 11 months ago
I hate to say I will laugh if most of the porn images on there get banned, too.
Hebiyoujo

Dragoneer may very well pull a full sell out on everyone. That will ban all porn, and make FA a clean site.
Dinobutts
13 years, 11 months ago
They won't have to ban all porn. The reason Alert Pay dropped FA for cub porn is because Alert Pay is a Canadian company, and all pornographic images of minors - even if it's drawn or a fantasy creature - is illegal in Canada. Unless all porn becomes illegal, FA won't have to ban it.. Alert Pay didn't go on some moral crusade against FA, they're just covering their own ass.
Hebiyoujo
13 years, 11 months ago
I didn't say they would HAVE to ban it, now did I?
Dinobutts

.. you're exact words were "they might have to ban all porn." So, uh.. yes?
Sakkano
13 years, 11 months ago
Probably wouldn't have happened if the admins weren't so.... well.. you know...

It's entirely seemly that someone got peeved or jilted after a complaint or two was rebuffed, and decided to go on a moral crusade. You know, a way to "stick it to the man."
