This one took a lil while as I got procrastinating and playing some games. He's kinda inspired by some Spore stuff. ^^

The Galtan are a herbivorous species native to the world Galven. They stand on average just three feet tall with hoof toes. Unlike most mammalian species they lay eyes. Females are differentiated primarily by a lack of horns. Despite their appearance often described as "cute" by others they are indeed a force to be reckoned with. The Galven Empire spans 15 systems secured via massive military presence with their homeworld being most secure of all. The Galtan tend to have a superiority complex in regards to other species though they do maintain friendly enough trade relations. However they are utterly brutal in combat both in person and board their ships. Socially they tend to take their duty very seriously though off hours activities have a wide range though sparring is popular. Clothing tends to be minimal and utilitarian. During off hours the typical dress code is often just a BWG, Bodily Waste Garment, and some sort of top or one piece shirt that supports the BWG. Relations with humans are amicable though there is often some confrontation but on the whole they understand humans. Both have histories rich with war. That said there are still a few things that they find odd. Firstly meat consumption is taken with averted eyes as just something icky. Secondly this whole toilet thing just seems odd. A communal pit in which to periodically "go" seems quite odd to them.

Laz Viton patrolled the Halls of the Valiant weapon in hand as he did most days. Very little traffic in the halls between shifts. Everyone was busy working on this or that. Laz liked the quite. Occasionally he'd take a moment to admire the views out the windows. Their ship was technically a "Local ReSearch Vessel" working on getting to better understand system's planets and map things out. Kanden was a young colony only a few centuries old after all. But beyond that the Valiant was fully armed and equipped to defend the system. And of course Laz was fully prepared to defend his ship from any boarders. Galtan security had a very good track record. Periodic target practice was mandatory and you were taken off rotation if you couldn't hit a Galatan sized moving target at at least 15 yards. Laz smirked at his record. 20 targets in 26 seconds at 30 yards. As he continued down the hall he let his mind drift just a bit thinking about stopping by the mess and what he'd do on his next Vacation. Maybe he'd travel somewhere. Maybe the human homeworld. They didn't seem as dull as the Sokee. Laz smiled thinking of visiting various Human battle fields as he patrolled the halls. It would be nice to take some time off.
