Well it's been a while since I did the original picture of the Sheeka and well I thought it was high time I got around and did a new one. So I took Jex and aged him up a bit. As a refresher I'll include a likely more complete codex entry on the Sheeka and then a lil something for the pic itself.

The Sheeka are a mammalian species native to the world of Salken, a nearly Earth sized moon in orbit around Gas giant. Due to the orbital mechanics Salken experiences 12 hour nights, 7 hour days, with 6 hours of twilight spread between dawn and dusk. Consequently the Sheeka like many species on their world are primarily nocturnal. This nocturnal nature lends the Sheeka superb vision overall with their eyes able to absorb every scrap of available light to see well in most lighting conditions. While being Mammalian in most respect the Sheeka lay legs, typically one or two at a time. Their diet consist primarily of meat with fruit rounds out the rest of their diet. Sheeka also possess powerful Jaws able to break bone to get at the marrow inside. Accompanying this predatory suite are fairly powerful instincts that allow Sheeka to react quickly and agilely in instances of danger. This along with their intelligence served them well in ancient times. While they were not the strongest of fastest predators of their world they were the smartest, working in groups to take down large prey using tools to augment their natural abilities.

Today the Sheeka are a thriving society and an open one at that possessing a love of the natural world and understanding of nature itself. While modern technology renders it unnecessary many Sheeka still occasionally hunt for sport or in some cases as a right of passage. They have a strong pack mentality and are uncomfortable with being along for extended periods of time. They also tend to be very accepting of differences between one another and other species holding that diversity is their greatest strength. They are relative new comers to the galactic scene having achieved FTL technology only a century ago. Since then however they have established regular trade with the Florkata and Sokee as well as amiable relations with humans.

Jex smiled walking out onto the stone deck behind his home. It was early evening and the sun had still yet to set below the see that stretched out before him. He always kind of liked the twilight hours seeing the sun mingle with the stars. He sighed as he thought about those points of light. His keen eyes could make out their colors and even tell which were binary. He'd been studying them a lot and hoped to one day get a job aboard a ship. Though he wasn't sure just yet what position he wanted. Medical seemed appealing as he liked helping people. His skill at Nest Ball certainly showed he had the strength and agility for security. And of course every ship needed plenty of techs. Jex smiled as one hand fliddled with his mne which was just coming. He still had years to decide. For now High School lay before him. Dances, dating, concern for the latest fashion in his diapers. Granted the second one wasn't quite as common. Jex liked his diapers though. It was sort of an old tradition with those from the Southern Jungle. While others might show off this or that style of loin cloth or a new poncho he did the same with his diapers. It wasn't much different. At least not to Sheeka or Sokee for that matter. The couple he'd met had complimented his. Jex laughed and toyed with the idea of maybe being a model for some Sokee diaper brand as he watched the sun set floating away for at least a bit on daydreams.
