The next day, Scourge woke to his phone going off. Sonic groaned in his sleep, turning over onto his side and burying his face in Scourge's chest to try and block out the irritating noise. Scourge reached into his head-quills and pulled out his phone, putting it to his ear and answering it before Sonic could wake up and groan at him.
“Hello?”
"Hey," said Shadow on the other end. "Meph and I came by yesterday to see how Sonic was doing, but we didn't see you guys at home. Nothing's wrong, is it?"
“Ah, right. You see, me and Sonic are at the hospital right now.” Scourge explained, stroking the said male's soft quills.
"What!?" Came the shocked voice from the other end."What's wrong with Faker?! He's not hurt, is he?!"
“No, he's not hurt.” Scourge replied, hiding the annoyance in his voice when Shadow called his love 'Faker' again.
"Well... What the doctor say?" the red-streaked male asked.
“To put it simply.” Scourge smiled. “Meph's got himself a baby buddy.”
Scourge snatched the phone away from his ear when he heard it hit the ground on the other and, Shadow having no doubt dropped the thing out of shock.
Quick shuffling could be heard before Shadow was heard on the phone again.
"He's pregnant?!?!" He near shouted.
“Yep. That's why me and Sonic weren't home yesterday.” Scourge chuckled softly.
There was a long pause before Shadow chuckled. "I guess congrats are in order then, huh?"
“You guess correctly Stripes.” green smiled.
"Well, congratulations, Scourge," Shadow smirked. "to the both of you..."
Scourge chuckled before realising something. “Oh, by the way, don't forget to tell Meph the news. I'm sure he'll be happy.”
"Heh," Shadow chuckled. "just wait till they both see each other... Now, that is gonna be a long day."
“Ugh... Tell me about it...” Scourge groaned, putting his hand over his eyes. “I don't to even want to think about that day...”
"Well, when they both feel better, why don't we all meet up or something?"
“Sure Stripes.” Scourge smiled.
"Talk to you later, Anti." Shadow smirked, giving Scourge a new nickname.
“Anti? Oh, very funny.” Scourge smirked.
Shadow laughed. "Bye, Scourge."
“Bye Shadow.” Scourge smiled before hanging up and putting his phone away in his quills.
He turned to see his mate still asleep, the little uke having heard none of the conversation. Scourge smiled, gently and carefully threading his fingers through the other's quills, being lucky enough not to have cut his fingers on them. Sonic sighed softly in his sleep and nuzzled into Scourge's hand when he gently scratched him behind the ears. Smiling more, Scourge leant down and kissed Sonic's belly before sitting up. Watching his mate sleep a few more minutes, he stretched and yawned, baring his sharp teeth in the meantime and quietly got out of bed to go use the bathroom.
As soon as Scourge stood, his mate stirred from the movement, his ear twitching in annoyance from the sound. But, thankfully, Sonic simply buried himself beneath the covers to get a few more winks. Scourge came back a few minutes later, coming to sit on the bed before reaching into his headquills and grabbing his wallet.
“Are you hungry Sonikku?” He asked, looking at the tired form beneath the covers.
Only an annoyed groan came from the other.
“I'll take that as a no...” green said as he stood. “See you in a little while love, I'm going to get myself something to eat.” and with that he left towards the cafeteria.
Later on that day, the doctor came round to check on Sonic; he was told he was still just a little underweight, the doctor told him that he could go home but he had to make sure he ate more so that the pup didn't die.
As Sonic and Scourge were leaving the hospital, Scourge remembered when Shadow had called him earlier.
“Oh Sonikku, Shadow called when you were asleep.”
Sonic blinked cutely. "He did?"
Scourge nodded. "He and Meph went round to ours yesterday but they couldn't find us since we've been at the hospital all day." Scourge explained.
"Oh," he nodded before asking. "did you tell them why we were gone? … About the baby?"
“I told Shadow and there's no doubt that he's told Meph. He said to congratulate you.” Scourge smiled, pulling Sonic close.
Sonic sighed with relief and smiled into the hug. "I'm glad..."
Scourge smiled as well, kissing his love on the head. “Shadow invited us round if you want to go to his and Meph's?”
"Sure." the uke smiled. "I haven't seen Meph in a while."
“Let's go pay him and Shadow a visit then.” green said as he lead the way towards their neighbourhood.
Sonic nodded and followed, unconsciously bringing his hand up to rub at his still flat belly. Scourge saw this out of the corner of his eye and smiled, bringing the other closer and nuzzling him softly. The little uke blushed and couldn't help smiling as he nuzzled him in return.
“I love you.” Scourge purred.
"I love you, too." blue purred.
Scourge couldn't help but smile more, kissing his love's temple. Sonic giggled at that and soon noticed where they were.
"Hey, we're here!" He smiled as he pointed at Shadow and Meph's home.
Scourge chuckled at his innocence. “That's right love.” and with that he knocked on the door.
Both had to wait a moment before Shadow came to the door.
“Hey Stripes.” Scourge smirked.
Shadow frowned before smirking. "Hey, Anti. Hey, Faker."
"Hey, Shadz!" Sonic smiled.
“How you been Shadz? Mind if we come in?” Scourge asked.
"Yeah, come on in." the black male said, opening the door wider for them to step in.
Sonic and Scourge walked in, only to be met with the annoyed voice of Mephiles.
“Shadow, who's that at the door? If it's Amy again tell her to go awa-Oh, hi Sonic! Hi Scourge!” Meph smiled, going over to them.
"Hey, Meph." blue smiled, embracing the other uke.
“Hey Meph, did you hear the news?” green asked, smiling as he watched the two ukes hug.
Meph frowned as he pulled away from the other. “News? What news?”
"Shadow didn't tell you?" Sonic asked.
“Obviously not...” Meph said as he crossed his arms and glared daggers at his mate.
Shadow smiled sheepishly.
“Well, to put it simply. You've got yourself a baby buddy.” Scourge smiled.
Meph's eyes widened with a gasp before he hugged Sonic tightly. “Congrats Sonic!”
Sonic giggled and hugged him back, "Congrats to you, too..."
Meph's tail wagged slightly making the two semes smile.
“How far along are you Sonic?” Meph asked as he pulled away, heading to the couch.
"About a month or so, I think..." blue admitted, following after him.
“Where were you and Scourge yesterday? Me and Shady tried to see you but you weren't there...” the pale-streaked male said as he sat down on the couch, the semes coming in a few minutes later.
"At the hospital." Sonic answered. "I'd woken up that morning with this god-awful pain in my stomach. I'd managed to get to the bathroom before I lost everything I'd ate, but when I had tried standing, the pain had gotten so bad that I couldn't move... We just found out that I was pregnant yesterday. I'm still trying to get used to the news..."
“I've had the suspicion that Sonic was pregnant for a while.” Scourge said as he sat down on a chair. “I noticed it when he started having stomach cramps and when he started throwing up.”
Sonic blinked. "Really? Why didn't you ever say anything?"
“I didn't want you to over-react love.” the emerald male smiled sympathetically.
Sonic smiled softly and nodded. "I understand, love...."
Scourge smiled in return before turning to Mephiles. “So Meph, how's life living with grumpy Stripes?”
"Annoying now that I'm pregnant." the pale-streaked male said, glancing at his mate. "He won't let me do anything!"
"That's only Shadz being protective." Scourge insisted. "He just wants to keep you and the baby safe."
Meph grumbled stubbornly with crossed arms over his barely-there baby bump. "I guess so..."
The emerald male chuckled, turning to Shadow. "How bout you Stripes? Hows life knowing you're a father to be?"
"I'm getting the hang of everything." he admitted. "I'm just more cautious around Meph because I don't wanna upset him or stress him out..."
"Understandable." Scourge said. "But you're both excited?"
"Definitely." both ebony males answered simultaneously.
"We're the same, aren't we love?" Scourge asked, looking over at his mate with a smile.
"Yeah, I can't wait." Sonic said excitedly.
“How many do you think you're having Meph?” Scourge asked curiously.
"I don't know." he said as he rubbed his small bump. "The doctor said it'd be about another month before we could tell the gender and how many I'm having."
"But, he did say that, although uke pregnancies are rare, they usually carry more than one pup." Shadow added.
“They do?” Scourge asked, raising a brow.
Shadow nodded. "That's what he told me..."
“Huh... So, I guess we should get ready for pups not a pup love.” Scourge said as he looked over at Sonic.
Sonic looked at his mate and smiled, but his eyes showed that he wasn't all that happy about the news.
In all honesty... Sonic was scared.
And Scourge could see this when he looked into his eyes. “You're not happy about that are you?”
Sonic blinked, snapping out his thoughts when he heard his mate's voice.
"Oh, no, love, nothing's wrong, its just..." he sighed heavily when he saw Shadow and Meph looking concerned.
"I'll tell you when we get home, okay? " he asked, not wanting to ruin the others' good mood with all his worrying.
“Alright, if you're sure.” Scourge smiled softly, leaning over and kissing Sonic's temple.
Sonic smiled genuinely and nuzzled into his side with Scourge wrapping his arm round his love as he nuzzled into his head fur. A smirking Shadow then cleared his throat, catching the other's attention while Meph smirked beside him.
Scourge looked over at the two ebony males and when he saw the smirks on their faces, his curiosity got the better of him. “What's so funny?”
"Seems you two were lost in your own little world, eh?" Mephiles snickered.
Scourge rolled his eyes. “Yeah, yeah. I've gone soft, so what?”
"Only Sonic could've made that happen." Shadow chuckled, earning a blush from the blue uke.
“Well, you two can't say much.” Scourge smirked. “First Meph's trying to get revenge on you sealin' him away in the sceptre and then the next thing we know you've come out saying that you two are mates.”
Both look-alikes blushed and looked away with crossed arms.
"Touche." Shadow muttered.
Scourge laughed, that smirk never leaving his lips. The other couple then sat down and soon all 4 were lost in conversation with one another...
The seme's talked about “boys” things before Scourge got onto the subject of pregnancy and the bad side of it if the dad's said too much.
“I think the worst starts when the mother's... Five months along I guess.” He said as he sipped on his can of beer that Shadow had gotten him.
Both Sonic and Meph were online looking at pup names and different nursery themes, so they didn't hear a word the semes were saying.
"Why do you say that?" Shadow asked.
“Right, you've seen pregnant women before haven't you?” Scourge started, leaning back in his chair.
"Yeah... And your point is?" Shadow raised a brow.
“My point is, if we say too much or something wrong we're going to get our asses whooped big time.” Scourge stated, his voice raising a little.
"You guys say something? " Sonic and Meph asked from where they sat at the computer.
“Hm? Oh, it was nothing important.” green said, looking over at the two ukes.
Both glanced at one another before shrugging and looking back at the screen.
Scourge sighed in relief before mumbling. “That was close...”
"Tell me about it." Shadow agreed.
“Hm...” Scourge sighed, resting his head on the back of the couch as he closed his eyes.
Shadow did the same, one of his ears perking as he eavesdropped on what Meph and Sonic were talking about.
Scourge turned his head and opened an eye, watching the two ukes as they gossiped about clothes for their babies.
"Kinda ironic, isn't it?" Shadow asked, also watching their mates go on and on about pups and whatnot.
"How is it?" Scourge questioned curiously as he looked at the ebony male.
"How we've both ended up with some of the rarest ukes on Mobius as our mates." he chuckled before adding. "I would've never known that both Mephiles AND Sonic could get pregnant, but here we are, expecting pups in the next few months..."
“Expecting pups and expecting to loose a few clumps of fur as well...” Scourge mumbled sarcasticly.
"True." Shadow chuckled in agreement.
Scourge chuckled a little as he sat up and finished his drink. At this time, Meph looked over and watched Scourge down the last of his drink.
“You shouldn't drink too much Scourge; you could get yourself drunk.” he warned.
Scourge looked over at he crushed the can in his hand. “It's just the one drink Meph.” He insisted.
"Yeah, but you've gotta take me home, love." Sonic said, agreeing with Mephiles. "And you know that I can't carry you..."
“Now isn't that a shame.” Scourge chuckled.
Sonic just childishly stuck his tongue out at him while Mephiles just crossed his arms and arrogantly raised a brow at him.
Definitely two different types of ukes.
“Aw, don't do that love.” Scourge asked as he stood and went to Sonic. “It's not nice.”
Sonic only pouted and cutely stuck his tongue out again. But he quickly figured out that he shouldn't have done that when he suddenly found his mate's tongue battling his own. Shadow, with Meph now sitting in his lap, smirked as they both watched their two friends make out.
"Hey, get a room, you two." Meph chuckled after it seemed like Sonic nor Scourge was ever gonna stop.
Scourge just ignored Meph and deepened the kiss.
Shadow rolled his eyes and jumped in surprise when Meph decided to start their own make out session. Scourge carefully picked up Sonic before carrying him to the couch and sitting down with Sonic straddling him. Sonic wrapped his arms around his neck and deepened their kiss, Meph doing the same to Shadow. But Scourge soon pulled away when he needed air, nuzzling into the base of Sonic's neck and smiling when his blue love started to purr.
"I love you..." Sonic purred.
“I love you too.” Scourge purred back.
Soon Shadow and Meph had to withdraw as well if they wanted to keep breathing. Both panted heavily as their kiss ended.
Scourge gave a toothy grin at them both. “Finished?” He teased.
Both just blushed and glared at the green male.
“It was just a question.” Scourge smirked, leaning back in the chair.
Both simply rolled his eyes as Meph stood with a stretch.
"Well." he sighed heavily. "I'm taking a nap. Nice seeing you guys." he said with a wave. "Make sure to stop by anytime."
"You're gonna sleep?" Scourge blinked.
"Well, yeah." Meph said like it was the most obvious thing ever. "I feel tired, so what else am I supposed to do?"
"Sleep on Shadz?" Scourge suggested with a shrug.
Mephiles blinked and looked at his mate who simply shrugged with a smile. Meph sighed as he went back to sit in Shadow's lap. "Fine... But don't wake me up with all your loud talking."
"Deal." Scourge chuckled.
Meph just scoffed and lay his head on Shadow's chest as his eyes slipped closed.
He was fast asleep within minutes.
“Cute.” Scourge smiled.
Shadow smirked. "You really have gotten soft..."
Scourge smirked, looking bored. “I really don't care Shadow.”
"Neither do I..." the ebony male chuckled softly, placing a soft kiss between Meph's ears.
He'd go soft for his mate any day...
“I really don't care...” Scourge mumbled at he looked at Sonic.
Sonic just looked up at him and smiled beautifully. Scourge smiled in return and kissed his love on the nose. Sonic just giggled and curled up at his side. Green smiled as he wrapped his arm round the blue male, holding him close. Sonic sighed with content and closed his eyes, deciding to get a nap too, making Scourge chuckle softly. Over the next few hours, both semes just talked about random stuff before deciding to play some video games, making sure to have the audio down so as not to wake their slumbering mates.
“Hey Shadz?” Scourge whispered after a while.
Shadow raised a brow at him curiously.
“What gender pup do you want?” green asked, pausing the game as he turned to the ebony male.
"Honestly, I'd like a little girl." he admitted.
“That old saying about a 'Daddy's little girl' getting to you?” Scourge chuckled teasingly.
"Oh, shut up." ebony rolled his eyes even though he was smirking with it.
“I'll take that as a yes.” green returned the smirk.
"Well, what about you?" Shadow raised a brow. "What do you want?"
“To tell you the truth I don't mind what gender pup we get. I'm just happy that we're having a pup or pups.” the emerald male explained, leaning back in his hands as he spoke.
"I agree." Shadow, smiling over at his napping uke who just so happened to be curled up with Sonic.
"I'd like a girl, but girl or boy, the pup is mine and Meph's and I'll love it no matter what..."
Scourge smiled at that, looking over at his mate as well. “I agree.”
