The Reality Chapter Nine: My help?
A few people had walked up into my room one of them being my old instructor Ren, and the headmaster and a new face I had not seen before. They walked into my room and stood in front of me. Ren looked at me and smiled, it had been so long sense I had seen him it was nice to get to see him again at least.
Ren spoke up. "So Kyoga during your winter vacation which is coming up in a few months we would like to see you back at the hospital for some check ups and a few other things, but that is if your ok with that, if you don't want to go back to the hospital we can do the check ups right here today."
"I would like to go back and see everyone again, but is there another reason for me to go other than the check up?" I replied to Ren.
Ren told Misery to leave for a few minutes and said to me. "Well there is another reason its a sensitive topic at the moment cant say to much about it but it would be a great help if you came for a week or two."
"Ok I will definitely come then as long as I'm allowed to go out on the town and do some shopping and stuff I have seen most of the shops here and I would love to see another city as well."
Ren agreed and nodded his head and the headmaster and the others all left and Misery came back up, and sat down beside me. She was looking at me as if she wanted me to tell her what was going on, I just remained quiet. Even I did not know what exactly what was going on, or why they needed my assistance. Misery looked me in the eyes, I turned my head away, and she grabbed me by my muzzle and turned my head back to her.
"Should we not get going to the movies Kyo." She said to me.
I replied. "Is it that time already, I completely forgot sorry."
I grabbed my cloak and my school chain and we left. As we got out of the door to my room Felli and the others were waiting for us. We begun to walk into town, everyone was joking with each other and telling stories of their summer sense it had only been a few days sense the vacation was over. All Misery said of her vacation before she came here was dull and uneventful, but for someone who was always getting into trouble I had found that hard to believe she probably meant, lots of trouble and grounded.
When we got to the theatre we decided to go see a horror movie, the only problem with that was I had to sneak into the theatre. They had bought all the tickets even mine and I quickly looked around for a way into the rooms that was not guarded by an adult. I found one and ripped my ticket and went through meeting Felli and the others inside. We took our seats in the middle of the theatre so we had the best view of the screen, the movie was just starting luckily, the movie I had found out so far was definitely not that scary, but it had Felli was in Fonfon's arms the entire time basically. I did not see Misery jump once, Kay and Trast jumped a few times to, I ended up even jumping once during the end. That movie killed a few hours at least, We were all getting ready to leave the others were just going to the washroom before we left. We had begun to walk back to the school, I was making fun of Felli for being so afraid during the movie.
We all decided to stop and get something to eat after we had walked by a few restaurants, we just picked some chain restaurant not one of the extremely fancy ones this time. We sat at our table and they gave everyone a menu and me another kids menu. I asked to her for a regular menu and she looked at me and said that she thought I was to little for a "grown-ups" menu. After she said that I had cutely said please and gave her my puppy eyes. She still refused what bad customer service this was, or at least I thought it was, I guess I would just have to deal with a smaller meal this time. Everyone at the table laughed at me because of this. Looking at the menu I was noticed that there was not anything at really looked that good or sounded that good anyway. I decided I could just get someone else to order two entrees and I would pay for the entire thing.
We all were just drinking and talking about what we were looking forward to with the new school year, I was just hoping to be able to leave my room without needed a escort the entire time. Our food came boy did the ribs look good, just as I was about to start eating the waitress had took away my knife.
"Excuse me I kind of need that." I said to her.
The waitress replied. "Someone as young as you should not be playing with knives."
"Playing with knives, I'm trying to eat here, and I need that to cut my food so I don't have to pull it apart like a barbarian." I said back with attitude.
She said back to me. "Just ask one of your siblings to help you with it." with that she started to walk away.
"These people ar-." I began to speak but Trast closed my muzzle.
"Looks like someone is cranky and should not have skipped having a nap today." He shot daggers from his eyes at me while he spoke.
I stopped I was not going to say anything I did not want to be a nuisance to Trast and them after all. Trast handed me his knife because he did not need it at the moment. I had finished with it and gave it back, some people really did make me feel like a child but I still not used to it, I mean it could not really be that bad I just have to much pride in myself. Everyone had finished eating and I paid for everything this time because they always paid for me. We had finally started our walk back to school. I checked the time it was about 7 o'clock I had two more hours till I had to sleep for school tomorrow. I had let out a big yawn I was tired today felt really long I guess my days don't go as fast as they used to and I try to enjoy every moment I'm awake. We got to the school and decided to sit the courtyard for a bit considering we had nothing else to do. We sat and talked a bit more.
"Hey Kyo, have you been practicing your guitar much?" Felli asked me.
I replied to her. "I don't need to practice what are you talking about I'm a natural."
"I will call bull on that one, no way your going to get better if you do not practice." Fonfon Said.
I replied hastily. "I have probably by myself wrote more songs than you guys together."
"Then why don't you come with one of your songs next time we practice and we will see if its good or not." Kay jumped into the conversation.
I snickered. "I will then I'll bring more than one to show you."
With that we all left and went to our separate rooms Misery had followed me to my room though. I sat down at my table with a bunch of completed songs and song blank pages as well, I begun to translate the lyrics into Koi. Misery was over my shoulder and looked at the English words and then looked at what I was writing down.
"Kyoga what are these strange words?" She asked.
"You cant tell anyone at all ok, its English its now a dead language that was spoken by the human race." I replied to her.
"Why do you know English if its a dead language?" She asked again.
I replied to her. "I needed something to do in my spare time."
"Don't lie to me Kyo, I heard rumours that you could not speak Koi, and that's probably because you could speak fluent English." She said to me.
I grunted and gave her a speech. "You cant tell anyone what I am about to say I could get into a lot of trouble from the government telling you this. I was once a human who had been put into a cryo-sleep I was diagnosed with an incurable disease and was to be later awoken when they found a cure, but they never did and then the end of my kind came and I was found by the Henoids. Your kind awoke me cured my disease and in doing so they had to fix my genetics and make me one of your kind. My age before I went into sleep was thirty years old, I was famous in my time for my music I left my girlfriend my best friend and my band behind because I was selfish. Now I'm stuck in diapers and I'm only four."
Misery looked at me in awe, she now knew the reason I never acted like a cub of my age group. Being to different and having an older mindset I could not make myself act like that. She gave me a hug, and a kiss on my muzzle, and sat something down on the table and left me alone. After she left I picked up what was on the table, it was the photo of when I was a human I looked on the back it still had the message from Kiara so I knew for sure that was not her, and there was another note from Misery it said. "I knew this was you Kyo." She had stolen this from me and already knew and just wanted me to tell her, wow I guess I could not leave her alone in my room by herself for to long or she would go through all my stuff. I finished translating two songs and then I went off to bed.
I woke up in the morning not feeling good, It felt as if I was going to puke, I ran to the bathroom to were the toilet was and threw up. Great my first time being sick, I sat at the toilet for a few more minutes throwing up more. Today is going to be bad I thought to myself. I heard someone come in, it was probably the kitchen staff bringing me my food. They must have heard me throwing up in the bathroom and came in and took a look. I turned around and saw them peaking in, they left me for a few moments and came in with a glass of water. I drank it and they said they would be back, a few moments later the Headmaster had come into my room and told me that he was cancelling my classes today because I was sick. I put water into a bucket just in case I was going to get sick again and went to my bed and laid down. It was about an hour later and they sent one of the school nurses who took care of the younger kids up. She was way to friendly for my taste.
"Ok now Kyoga, open your mouth and say aww." The nurse said to me, and I opened my mouth. She used a tongue presser and checked inside my mouth and the back of my throat.
"Ok now sweetie I'm going to take your temperature now." She said sticking a thermometer into my mouth.
She told me to keep it in for a minute so I was trying to, She took it out and looked at them temperature I knew I had a fever I could feel myself burning up. It felt like my fur was going to light on fire any second. She looked at me and sat down beside me rubbing my head.
"You just need to get some rest and drink lots of water you have the flu, so no playing around today because your sick ok." She said like she was talking to a cub.
"Now open up I'm going to give you some medicine to make you feel all better ok." she stated.
She put some into a small shot glass looking thing, and waited for me to open my muzzle so she could pour in down my throat. So I opened it up and she did what I thought she was going to do. I stuck my tongue, that was so gross worst medicine I have ever had the displeasure of tasting.
"Yuck that stuff tastes so gross." I said to her.
"It may be gross but it will help you feel better hon." she said back to me.
She had stayed in my room for a bit cleaning up a bit and checking on me making sure I was still ok and not puking my guts out. I decided to get up and to change myself because I could not stand sitting still for that long in the diaper I was wearing. As I got up the nurse heard me walking around and came to my room. I had opened up my drawer and took a fresh diaper out. The nurse walked over to me and picked me up and laid me down on my bed.
"Oh now don't worry dear you just lay there and get better I'll change your diaper for you." she told me.
"No, no I'm totally capable of doing it myself." I said to her sitting up.
She just pushed me back down into a laying position and took off my pyjama bottoms. Exposing my soggy diaper, she then took it off and cleaned me up, putting some powder and then taping me up again. I was blushing a lot I had not had someone change me in forever so it was quite embarrassing. She had noticed me blushing and put her paw to my forehead to check how my fever was doing, it went down a little but I was still burning. She had given me a different medicine as well this one did not taste that bad though.
"Now I'll be back in about an hour to check up on you sweetie just rest for today and hopefully tomorrow you will be better." Said the nurse as she was leaving.
I laid in my bed for a few minutes and I started to feel really drowsy, she gave me must have given me something to make me sleep, because there was no way I should be feeling like this right now I had fallen asleep and awoke a few hours later, to the nurse changing me again, I was still half asleep so she just left me in peace and then Trast and Felli walked up into my room. They both sat down beside me and patted my head.
"Looks like a train hit you man I hope you feel better soon." Trast said to me.
"Aww it kills me to see you in this state." Felli also said to me.
"Thanks for coming up to see me guys the songs are on my table over there, if you want to take them and rub it in Fonfon's face for me." I replied to them
"We wont even look at them till your better Kyo." Felli said to me patting my head some more.
Misery walked in from my lounging area and smiled at me and sat down on the bed with them. Comforting me as well, She put the back of her paw on my head to feel my temperature, I was still quite hot. She got me a glass of water and I sat up to drink it.
"Thanks everyone so much for being here for me but its just a flu you don't need to be so worried about me." I said to them.
"Well me and Trast are going to be going we got some homework to do and practice and everything we just wanted to make sure your ok." Felli said, then they both left.
"I've been here for about two hours waiting till you woke up, your the only friend I have Kyo, so I will always be worried about your well being." Misery said to me.
She lied down beside me and we talked for a bit. After about half an hour I could hear her lightly snoring. I cant believe she could fall asleep that fast. Not like it mattered though I'm supposed to just relax and take it easy today, I closed my eyes and laid there until I fell asleep again.
