So, Dr. Bearberry is trying out a new Ultrasound wand. Normally, they are smaller, shorter and have a wire running from them to a computer.
Here, the wand is a special model, a "banana wand" (Not to be confused with a banana phone.) It has a built in transmitter, so it doesn't need a wire, it's also got a contact EKG, tuning controls on the handle, and the extra long grip makes it easier to use and less strain on the examiner.
