Deer Brother Pin-up: Amour
A little nod to Joss Whedon and the awesome TV show Firefly. Seriously you should watch the show, if you like cowboys and space and cowboys IN space then this could be the show for you. It's funny, breaks some good cliches, and has some really great actors and actresses. If you have watched the show then maybe you could tell me which episode this is from =) (not one of my favorites but it's still a pretty decent one).

This picture stars Amour (the Deer) and Zevran (the Jackal/wolf hybrid) showing off and welcoming new and old customers to the lounge in the Beast and Harlot Night Club

Art and characters (c) Killerwolf1020

Inspiration all goes to Joss Whedon and Firefly. My most favorite TV show EVER.

My personal favorite will always be "ah curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal"

Nice to see someone else who appreciates Firefly. I'm slowly dragging all my friends into it one by one.

Thats also a good one :D

I know that serenity was supposed to try and rekindle interest in the series, and without saying anything that might spoil it for those who havent seen the movie, i dont understand how that was supposed to happen with what happened near the end of it...

The whole ending of that movie made me disinterested in the continuation of the series..somewhat. It explained nothing I wanted explained like who are "two by two, hands of blue" what is Shepherd Book's past and what connection does he have with the Alliance, and how what was the point of tampering with River's brain. I do like how they explained the bad guys in the movie though. And the whole "battle scene" made me really think about space and physics due to the show following "true" physics properties, the sound in "space" during the ship battle scene could have been due to the nebula cloud they just came from and almost breaching Atmo. Oh there's just so much I want to geek out about XP.

I heard the comics were "ok" depending on who you ask. I'm hoping to invest in them soon.

the Shephard's past was explained in a comic that got put out recently... though the comic was ho-hum, though i guess it did an ok job of explaining his past, but i'da ratehr it been an episode or somethin.

theres always been sound in "space" in sci-fi tv/movies cause it'd be boring without. though i did like that they atleast muffled sound in space... even if there wouldnt be any sound to begin with :P

I saw that but i didnt read it. The comic style is a bit hard for me to see but I think i can get over it for a good read. I also would have liked them to explain it in the show because the actors would have made it 2000x better. Joss chose the best cast ever.

Technically there can't be sound in space since there is no medium for it to travel through. The nebula may have provide enough of a meduim for sound to travel.

And I kind of like the no sound in space. It give room for the AWESOME sound track (which has caused me to cry during the death scenes because the music is so moving) and just a sense of reality and "believability" to this si-fi world. I also like it for the dramatization of the scenes where things fly through space.

They did that in the Star Trek movie when someone got sucked out into space. It just went dead silent. It added a LOT for me personally to really get the feel that, that person was a goner.
