chiara (JP: キアラ Kiara) is a mini-boss who appears in chapter 1. she initially seems ready to fight, but gradually realizes that the geek gang is made up of good people. chiara is a fifteen-year-old transgender dream fox who wears a blanket 'r similar outfit. this blanket is light blue with a whitish tint 'nd features spiral eyes. it also seems to reveal certain details of chiara's appearance beneath the blanket, such as her hair or ears. the blanket also includes a jester-like hat with a diamond on top. she also has lon' sleeves, similar to those of a kimono sleeves. her legs and tail are black, reflectin' her resemblance to a melanistic fox, like an illusionist fox. she uses a ball as her main attack. xiao has always wondered if her arms are long 'r 'mething like that, she once mentioned that her arms are 'mewhat long arms with two hidden fingers/claws protrudin' from her sleeves, offerin' a small clue as to her true form. she's a hyperactive and rather geeky dreamer, usually very kind to others even outside her circle. she enjoys magic, anime, video games, and comics, 'nd seems to like mysteries and horrour. 'metimes she can be tired or terrified if there's a lot of tension, 'nd she often doesn't pay attention to signs fer some strange reason. apparently, she tends to focus much more on comics, manga, 'r video games. it has never been revealed what lies beneath her blanket, so her true appearance behind it is unknown. she often feels quite insecure when asked what's under her blanket, as she doesn't usually answer much 'boot it and prefers to change the subject. she seems to hate sinsun 'nd can't stand him, as she feels he's a burden 'nd in most cases finds him annoyin' and unbearable. the chiara name is of Italian origin, which refers to words like bright, luster, or clear. this meanin' could refer to the luminous diamond on the tip of her hat, or it could also refer to chiara's blanket colour. 'fore hambo 'nd kalligo entered the dreamworld, chiara once lived in sunshine town with her parents when she was little. apparently, chiara knew ikiton fer quite 'me time. it seems chiara wanted to join the toy kingdom's royal guard, as she wanted to meet more people 'sides herself. in the end, she was accepted as part of the royal guard, but as 'meone of lower rank. 'fter rockwell took power, sinsun met chiara. at first, they were friends, but little to little, their friendship turned manipulative, as sinsun manipulated her 'nd helped her on several occasions. chiara already felt sinsun was a burden and an undesirable person, since she couldn't enjoy everythin' she liked. 'cause of this, chiara tried to quit several times without success, so she had to endure sinsun more than she should, callin' him useless 'r unbearable in her conversations with him. chiara first appears in checker woods. she seems to be 'mewhat absent-minded 'nd prefers to ignore sinsun because it's not her business. 'fter sinsun insists so much, she agrees to fight hambo and kalligo, provokin' an encounter. "bouncy ball": chiar use her ball as her main attack, that thin''ll scatter little projectiles while it bounces back and forth. "precious gems": chiara toss out gem-shaped projectiles, launchin' 'em randomly 'round the bullet board. to spare her, the geek gang gotta use the ACT "distract," which'll get chiara a bit sidetracked, an' once it hits 100%, chiara skedaddle from the fight, so she can be recruited without any hassle. 'fter that, chiara gonna chew out sinsun fer the biggest waste of time she's ever had in her life. sinsun, on the other hand, is gonna bolt. even so, chiara's still bummed 'bout all the drama the group went through, but she's thankful fer the good times they had together. chiara gonna be chillin' in her room at toy castle, readin' a comic. she's a bit tied up with her hobby, but she still wishes the geek gang good luck in the fight against rockwell. when rockwell is defeated, she appears to be readin' a comic 'boot muscular 'nd sexy devil mens, 'nd tells the party that she will talk 'fter she finishes reading her comics 'nd finishing her video games. she appears in chapter 2 enterin' hambo's consciousness, as she is interested in havin' an adventure. in chapter 2, when hambo 'nd kalligo enter geek world, she seems fascinated by the thin's there, 'nd says that this world is better than toy kingdom. 'fter finishin' the fight against tita gemiss, she insists that she hasn't seen all of geek world yet, however, the thing tells her that if she doesn't go with them, includin' gemiss, she might get trapped in that world 'nd not be able to return to funky town. she seems afraid of bein' alone, so she says she will go to the different dream worlds on her own, 'lthough it's more out of curiosity, as she wants to meet many people from different dream worlds. therefore, she decides to enter hambo's consciousness. this happens 'fter completin' the second dream world, she appears in the epilogue playing a fightin' video game with ikiton. it seems that chiara and ikiton are very good friends and understand each other, the same is true for xiao, who also shares a hatred fer sinsun in particular. in chapter 3, she 'nd beret are invited to join the cast of kelapa as assistant dreamers. in this chapter, chiara 'nd beret develop a 'mewhat romantic 'nd friendly bond. in chapter 4, she can be seen in funky town with her friends playin' a game. they also seem to be discussin' their other interests 'sides video games. in chapter 5, chiara meets fang, they quickly get alon', 'nd fang welcomes her into their group of friends. while this is happenin', she 'nd Beret have a very weird encounter with a masknile. the masknile tries to manipulate them 'nd isolate them from their group of friends. both seem completely confused 'nd terrified by the manipulation. however, an amomokuro notices this 'nd puts the masknile in the trash can 'nd locks it up in funky town's prison fer obvious reasons. in chapter 6 in funky town, both beret 'nd chiara appear traumatized by what happened, so they need immediate therapy. in the credits of chapter 6, she'll help kalligo along with the crowd of dreamers, deckin' out the trees with blue gems and blue stars. by the winter of funky town in chapter 7, she'll be doing a bit better, now dressed in red with a christmas vibe. when the geek gang interacts with chiara, she'll say she's stoked fer the presents and that everyone else should get 'me too, except fer the bad folks. at the end of chapter 7's epilogue, 'fter pullin' the spire out of funky town, she'll tell the geek gang it was a real pleasure meetin' them, and that 'meday she'll see them again with beret down the road. in the anomalous route, she is forced to fight the duo in their first encounter, as she fears they will hurt her. however, sinsun manipulates her into 'lieving she is stronger than the duo, which makes chiara begin to trust them a little, 'nd the battle begins. however, she is attacked with a powerful blow, takin' away all her HP, causing her to bleed a little. in the end, she vanishes 'fter the battle, indicatin' that she died. apparently, sinsun escaped 'fore the battle began. In the post-anomalous route, she is buried in the olde graveyard in funky town. her stats are 1420 HP, 6 attack, 'nd 0 defence. she gets 43 EXP when killed, since the player can't take her down with force on the neutral route, plus 110 dream dollars. her dojo fighterZ card reads as follows: type of being: elements: magic and gem. dreamer. category: dream fox, dream canine, minion, mini-boss, kitsune. description: "a pretty energetic girl 'nd quite a fan of geeky thin's, it's best not to force her to do pirouettes 'cause she might get too dizzy"
