----- oOOOoooOo spoooky halloweeen art!! Just another mind wandering type sketch (sitting down and just drawing the first whim that comes to me). Also known as just "doing art for the joy of doing it" reasons, sketching things that I feel the need to see at that very moment. That's what 90% of these unshaded pokemon void drawings are! Me just indiscriminately making comfortable art in a very quick manner. Im continuing my practice of intentional colour use with this one too. Picking a heavy red backround colour, then contrasting the aggressive red with a smattering of cyan blue light, cast on the foreground subject, to properly seperate the Braixen from the backround!
The idea of a braixen nervously examining a new pair of eyes growing in their neck was just an idea that was forming in my mind today. I wonder if the idea for it was influenced by my semi recent playthrough of Look Outside? That games art has a real thing for this sort of body horror and its probably undoubtedly influenced me in some way.
I have never really tried drawing heavy horror, despite the fact that its an area I have alot of interest in. I want to actually try doing heavy horror some time, I have just not formed very many ideas for stuff I could do with it, and other ideas often catch my attention quicker than I can form my horror ideas. Something I LOVE though and that I would probably by trying with that stuff is a making a REALLY cute monster creature, that feels uncanny or somehow feels like a threat despite being reallly cute. The artist jejejunum does that sort of stuff so well and their art always makes me feel "awawawawawa hwhafksahfaksfsakf" on the inside. I want to integrate an aspect of sex into my horror stuff too, because terrifying scary things can be hot too! (xenomorph my beloved).
