Class(es) | Enhanced, Memetic, Shifter Power(s) | Minor shapeshifting in arms and neck vertabra, ability to cut through anything, hyper-durability Weakness(es) | Relatively slow and extremely untrained in swordsmanship
Animal history is full of innocents cut down before their time by the myriad ways they've found to turn lumps of metal into sharpened instruments of pain. Unfortunate victims sacrificed to a monster's appetite for feeling powerful, scared and tired soldiers ordered forward by a rich animal with a chip of their shoulder, even the monsters themselves, brought low by resolute and traumatized avengers. The bladed weapon has a dark history...it's almost cruel that it came to life.
Vorpal, given that name by one of its soon-to-be victims, is not a thinking being, not any more than a sword can be. It has no goal other than to serve its purpose, no motive beyond the tireless wheel of entropy pushing it forward. Most villains have an endgame in mind, even if that end game is defeat. Vorpal exists to cut, and cut it shall. Unfortunately, death itself cannot be killed, only contained or driven off...maybe...Lets just hope they don't try and put a Memetic-Class durability power against it...
Vorpal is likely the poster child for the growing anti-Memetic-Class sentiment in today's modern age, a living concept with the ability to rend anything in its way apart, regardless of safeguards, magic, or technology. While most Memetic-Class powers are just as harmless as the low-tiers of every other class, in the era of fun powers based on video games or movies, and cartoon physics, it's easy to forget just how devastating the right concept turned into a weapon can be. -------- Carrd | Ko-Fi | Furaffinity | DeviantArt | Bluesky
