That lizard (The green guy here) had never been to space before, but managed to win himself a trip to a space station that's big enough to practically be its own city! Only being aware of a handful of different species of aliens, and knowing very little about space in general, he was excited to get to go there, and happily took in the sights when he finally arrived... Though he hadn't realized that a lot of aliens look pretty intimidating to someone that's not familiar with aliens in general. He did his best to keep an open mind, knowing that there was no reason to be afraid, but it wasn't easy.

Eventually, the lizard took a trip to a spa to see how different it might be, but surprisingly it was pretty similar to on Earth aside from the people around. Settling into a sort of artificial hot spring, he tried to calm himself down by getting a good look at some aliens that were bathing with him - maybe he wouldn't be so nervous around them when he got familiar with their species? One blue one seemed reptilian and not all that different from him aside from having a third eye, something seemingly aquatic was relaxing under the water with its antennae sticking out... Gradually, the lizard was finally beginning to fully relax again.

Until there was a splash next to him as someone else got in: A towering grey creature with spikes and horns, and a single large eye. He immediately got uncomfortable again, and while he tried not to make it obvious, the alien did eventually catch on to how intimidated he was. But, they did actually seem kind of friendly despite their appearance! After a bit of initial ice breaking, the two hit it off, and the lizard had finally managed to make his first extraterrestrial friend.

squirtlerocks07 and I did an RP based on this.

S: recently, a green lizard has won a trip to a special space station thats so giant it was practically a city! The lizard hardly knows anything about space and what could be lurking there, but he was still so excited to go see it.

the lizard was also allowed to take a friend with him, so obviously he had to go for his good buddy, a Scizor, to accompany him on the trip. He was heading over to the scizor's house now to tell his buddy the news

L: The lizard knocks on the scizor's door, hoping they're home. "Hey, buddy! I've got really cool news!"

S: luckily for him, the scizor was home, opening his door and seeing the lizard before giving him a smile

"Hey! My bud! Whats up, what news do you have to share with me?"

L: "You've heard of that huge space station, right? I won a trip there! Even better, I get to bring someone with me, and I want that to be you!"

S: "Wait, for real??" the scizor was stunned for a second, he's heard about that space station and how mysterious it is
"You won a trip there and you wanna take me with you? W-wow! Thats awesome!"

L: "Yeah, I bet there's gonna be all sorts of cool stuff up there! So, do you want to come?"

S: "Uhh yeah! Absolutely! Not only to hang out with my bestie, but to also explors something ive never seen before too, as much as space makes me a little nervous"
the scizor gives the lizard a hug, a hint of nervousness crossing his face as he did

L: The lizard hugs them back. "I'm sure it's gonna be fine. The people behind this said we can leave whenever we're ready, so we can get going as soon as you're good to go."

S: "Well what are we doing standing around here? Lets go then! I'm excited!"

L: "Perfect! The shuttle they've got for us is a bit of a walk from here, but it'll obviously be worth it." The lizard starts leading the scizor to where the shuttle is.

S: "Thats ok, I like to walk, you should know that"

the scizor giggles before he follows the lizard towards the shuttle

L: The two get there eventually, and a few people are around making sure that everything's set.

An anthro robin, seemingly in charge, comes up to the two. "There you are! I take it you're ready to get going?"

The lizard nods. "Yep, we're both really excited!"

S: the scizor nods as well

"Yeah! This is gonna be great, and what better person to do this trip with then my best friend over here, he chose me to tag along with him!"

the scizor then puts his arm around the lizard for a moment, smiling

L: Robin: "Okay, let's get you guys on there then!" He leads the two into the shuttle and helps them get strapped into the seats. "It should be a fairly easy flight, then you two can have a good time on the station."

Lizard: "Alright, sounds good."

S: "Cool! Ive never ridden on a shuttle before, so I'm looking forward to that at least, this should be good!"

L: Robin: "It should pilot itself just fine, so you guys can just relax. Hope you have fun up on the station!" He heads back outside.

Lizard: "Hope it's not too long of a trip, I want to get up there already!"

S: "Me too, but I'm sure ill be a fairly quick trip, at least I hope so"

L: The shuttle starts up before much longer, and starts flying high up into the air!

Lizard: "Ah, here we go! Pretty cool that it's able to pilot itself, I have no idea how I'd work this thing."

S: "Me neither, this is already really cool! I never would have guessed that ill be going to space with my best friend beside me"

L: "Same here! Still can't believe how lucky I got to win this... Most people never even get to go to space at all!"

S: "I know, its a once in a lifetime opportunity! And I'm not letting this go to waste!"

L: "Neither am I!"

The shuttle gets out of the atmosphere, and speeds up even more as a monitor now shows the shuttle's progress toward the space station, along with an estimated time for how long it'll take.

S: "We're really moving now, hopefully this doesnt take super long to get there!"

L: "It says it'll just be a few minutes, but I think that's assuming we don't get slowed down by anything. Wonder what kind of stuff that station's going to have..."

S: "Same, but I guess we're gonna find out very shortly then"

L: The two wait for a while as the timer goes down... Thankfully nothing gets in the shuttle's way. Near the end of the timer, the space station finally comes into view out the window!

"Oh, I think that's it there! Man, it's even bigger than I was thinking!"

S: "Whoa, its so huge! I wasnt expecting that at all! Now I'm even more excited!"

L: "I don't think we'll get to explore even half of all that in just this one trip! I'll have to find us some way to come back here sometime, for sure."

S: "Oh right, sucks we only get one day to explore this place, but yeah hopefully we can come back to it someday! For now tho, lets explore while we can!"

L: And finally, the shuttle reaches the station and automatically docks itself.

As soon as it does, the lizard undoes his straps and gets up, heading for the door. "Finally! Let's go check this place out!"

S: the scizor undoes his own straps too and heads to the door as well

"Hopefully we can breathe inside that space station, I mean I'm sure we can but I'm still just hoping"

L: "Someplace this big HAS to have something for that, there's no way we'll have any problem."

The lizard opens the door and steps out onto the station. Sure enough, he and the scizor are able to breathe without issue, and as he looks around at the odd new surroundings... He almost immediately gets nervous at all the strange, unfamiliar creatures.

"...O-oh, um... I should've seen this coming... Aliens look weird..."

S: The scizor looks around and gets nervous at all the unfamiliar creatures too as he steps out as well

"Y-yikes! Look at all these weird creatures!"

L: "W-well, they're, um... Probably not going to do anything to us. I think. L-let's just try to focus on exploring..." As he starts to wander around the place to look around, the lizard has some trouble focusing, as there just keeps being more different kinds of weird aliens around.

S: the scizor tries to explore the area too, but is getting increasingly nervous at all the weird ailens, and hoping that none of them try to attack them or anything, maybe if they find a place to go to ill help take their mind off the weirdness of the creatures

L: One of the places they spot has a few different signs in languages neither of them recognize, but one is in English denoting it as a spa.

The lizard points it out. "That might be a good spot, there probably won't be many aliens there, if any... Maybe it'll help us relax at least a little..."

S: "A spa huh? Hmm, never been to one, but it sounds like a pretty chill spot... lets go check it out then"

L: "It'll be my first time too... I kind of just want to do this to get off the streets, this is so freaky..." The lizard heads into the spa with the scizor.

S: as the two head inside, it seems like it was pretty typical spa area, soft music was playing on some speakers, the atmosphere was definitely a lot calmer then the streets. There were a few options to pick from, but one that stood out was the artificial hot spring area, it was a direct path to it and it seems like it was the featured place to go

L: The lizard looks around, and is relieved to not see any aliens yet. "Maybe this'll be alright... Let's check out the hot spring, that seems like it might be good..."

S: "I guess we can go check it out, water is usually not my kind of thing tho, but what the heck? May as well go see it"

L: "I'm a fan of water, at least..." The lizard heads into the hot spring room.

Even being near the water is kind of nice, but the two aren't alone. Two more aliens are also in the spring relaxing, one of them submerged aside from a pair of antennae and the other sitting at one side with their head above the surface. Trying not to show his nervousness, the lizard cautiously gets into the water, sitting as far from both as possible.

S: as the scizor went in with him, he gets nervous when he sees two other ailens relaxing, but he tries to think about it and also gets into the nice warm water, which does at least feel good as he gets as close to the lizard as he can, sitting down beside him and hes relieved that the water wasn't deep at all, but hints of his own nervousness shows

"Mm, ill admit, warm water does feel nice on my body, but those two ailens over there are making this kind of hard to relax..."

L: "I'm gonna try to just ignore them... All they're here for is to relax..." The lizard does his best to calm down... And over time, he does finally begin to manage to do so.

S: "True"

getting comfortable the Scizor also tries to calm down, and thankfully with time, he was able to do so as well, enjoying the warm waters. Thankfully for them, the 2 ailens didnt seem to notice or care about the two as they were too busy doing their own thing

L: As the lizard starts enjoying himself, he's starting to not even be scared of the two aliens any more either. "You know, that blue one doesn't look too far off from just being a lizard... Aside from that third eye, anyway."

S: "You know what your right, I guess these two arent too freaky after all, thats at least good"

the scizor was starting to enjoy himself too for the moment. The two dont realize yet but the hot spring actually has a much deeper area when they could easily go underwater, but they were too focused on themselves to notice

L: Eventually, just as the two are about to be fully relaxed... A third alien comes in, tall and grey with spikes all over them. Seemingly either not noticing or not paying attention to how the lizard quickly becomes nervous again, they get into the water and sit down near the two.

S: the scizor immediately sees the tall ailen and gets really scared from how scary they looked, even tho he tries his bes to not show it

"O-oh jeez, that guy is scary!"

L: That alien looks down at him. "Yeah, I get that a lot. Not really much I can do, sorry."

Lizard: "Oh, you know English... W-well, um, i-it's not really a big deal how you look..."

S: the scizor was kind of relieved the ailen spoke English, relaxing a little

"Oh, if you speak english then I guess you arent that bad, a little intimidating still, and I'm supposted to be pretty tough myself, heh"

L: Alien: "You do look tough, yeah. Both of you kind of seem like this might be your first time being around people that aren't from your planet."

Lizard: "Y-yeah, and it's not going well, they all look so scary..."

S: "Y-yeah, even I'm getting scared at all of them... but you at least seems alright for the most part, just gotta find some other way to occupy ourselfs"

L: Lizard: "And I've been trying to remind myself that you guys aren't going to hurt us, but it's not working..."

Alien: "Well... Maybe going underwater here for a while might help? I don't know if you guys are cold-blooded, but I am, and being under some hot water always helps me relax."

S: "Huh? Oh, there must be some deeper parts of the hot spring that we missed, well I don't know how I feel about that, I already dont like water as it is, and being underwater where I cant breathe? Yeah thats another level of freaky, but I know my friend here likes the water"

L: Lizard: "I guess I could give it a shot... You should at least try too, buddy."

Alien: "This hot spring goes relatively deep so there's room for people like me, you guys could go under easy, and you wouldn't be far from air."

S: the scizor sighs, not really sure what to do, frowning even

"Bud I dont know... I dont like the thoughts of not being able to breathe... but if anyone could convince me, ill be my best friend...ugh..."

L: Lizard: "Being underwater really isn't all that bad, it just takes a bit of getting used to. I bet as soon as you go under though, the warmth will help you calm right back down."

S: "I dont know about that, I'm still really nervous about all this, I like warm water yes, but not under it..."

L: Alien: "Staying up here will probably still relax you eventually if you don't want to actually go through with it..."

Lizard: "Probably, yeah, and if you're this nervous it might be for the best... But I kind of don't want to go under without you. Come on, it's not dangerous or anything, whenever you need air you can just stand up."

S: the one thing that'll break the Scizor was cute, pleading faces from his bestie, but for the moment he still didn't know what to do

"I'm sorry dude...I just cant convince myself to go underwater"

L: The lizard remembers the one move that always works on the scizor... He puts on the cutest face he can. "Pleeeaaase?"

The alien chuckles at that. "Interesting move..."

S: immediately the scizor's eyes go wide at that

"Gah!!! Oh no, not the cute faces!! You know I can't resist those! Ugh!"

he tries his best to resist it

L: Alien: "Not the first time, huh? Heh, let me try..." He tries to do a cute face as well, though it's definitely not as good as the lizard's.

The lizard keeps going, whining a little as well to try to seem even cuter.

S: "Aww not the whining like a puppy too!! This is really getting hard now!"

even the ailen's attempt at a cute face was making the scizor break even further, but he's not fully broken...not yet at least

L: Alien: "...I feel like I'm doing this wrong. Hm..." He tries a different cute expression, and this one's much better. "Come ooon, it'll be fun!"

S: now seeing both of their super adorable faces was enough to finally get the scizor to say

"....oh FINE!!! You guys both got me... ill go underwater then..."

L: Lizard: "There we go! Thanks for the assist there."

Alien: "No worries, it's always for the best for people to try to work past their fears."

S: "Ugh I am not looking forward to this, why must cute faces be my number 1 weakness?! Man..."

L: Lizard: "It's not gonna be as bad as you're thinking it is, don't worry."

Alien: "I'm sure you'll start feeling better about this pretty quick once you finally try it."

S: "Whatever, I guess we should just get this done quick, are there at least goggles around? I definitely dont want my eyes hurting during this"

L: Alien: "There's a few, yeah. They have this neat thing that lets you easily change how many individual lenses there are and how big they are so they can work with any eyes." He gets up and heads over to a nearby box, where he grabs some and changes one to fit him before holding out the other two to the lizard and scizor.

Lizard: "Oh, cool! I was kind of wondering about that, they'd need a ton of different kinds without this." He takes one of the two.

S: the scizor takes the other one, but he looks at his big metal claws then back the goggles with a slight giggle

"Um, can someone help me put these on? I dont think my claws are made for this"

L: Lizard: "Right, yeah, here." He helps the scizor get their goggles on, then puts his own on.

The alien gets theirs on as well, and gets back into the water. "You two ready?"

S: "Thanks buddy... well, I guess as I'm as ready as ill ever be...oh boy"

L: Lizard: "Alright, think I'll do a countdown and then we'll all go under at once. 3, 2, 1, go!" He and the alien both take deep breaths and go underwater.

S: but the scizor didnt go underwater, he was too nervous to do so, and was actually pretty mad that his fear won this round

L: The lizard and alien come back up after a moment.

Alien: "I guess that wasn't enough?"

Lizard: "I really thought that'd work... You okay, buddy?"

S: "I-i'm sorry, I guess i got too nervous to go down... this must really spook me"

L: Lizard: "Sure seems like it... But you can get through it, don't give up!"

Alien: "I'll keep trying to help too, even though you were kind of nervous about me earlier."

S: "Maybe I just need to try again... maybe I wasnt ready yet, do I least look good in these goggles tho?"

L: Lizard: "You do, yeah! Same with you, alien guy, it's kind of funny to see goggles with only one lens."

Alien: "And I think you both look good with yours, too."

S: hearing that the scizor looks good with his goggles on makes him feel more at ease, smiling and blushing a little

"Thanks guys... I think after hearing i look good in swim goggles makes me feel a little better about diving"

L: Alien: "Really? I suppose that's pretty good, then."

Lizard: "Feeling ready to try again?"

S: "Yeah, I think so, I'm ready this time around"

L: Lizard: "Okay, let's give it another shot! 3, 2, 1, go!" He and the alien both go under again.

S: this time, after a deep breath and holding it in tight, the scizor finally dives under too, he was immediately nervous tho as soon as went down

L: Glad that the scizor's finally come down, the lizard gives them a thumbs up. Seeing how they've gotten way more nervous though, he quickly gives them a hug to try to calm them down.

The alien watches, seemingly not understanding what the lizard's doing.

S: the scizor hugs the lizard back, trying to calm himself down as he whimpers out some bubbles

L: Lizard: "Itbl's goblnna ble okblay... Foblcus obln hblow goblod thble hblot wablter feblels..."

The alien tries not to laugh at how weird the lizard sounds.

S: the scizor tries his best to relax and feel the warmth of the water around him

"I-iblt dbloes fbleel gblood..."

he was able to slowly calm down after seeing how good it feels

L: The lizard slowly lets go of the scizor, sitting back a bit. "Seble? Noblthiblng tblo woblrry ablout."

The alien doesn't seem to want to talk underwater, but nods.

S: the scizor looks around, he was still feeling nervous deep down, but for the moment he was doing ok, even as his face blushes a little red then normal

L: The lizard lays down to relax, blowing a few bubbles. "Thblis reblallbly dobles feblel bebltteblr thblan Ibl thblougblht iblt wobluld..."

S: the scizor lays down as well, relaxing too

"Ybleah, nblot abls babld abls i thblought iblt wobluld be"

L: The alien nods, and closes his eye, smiling. He's still doing fine, while the lizard's beginning to blush a little bit.

S: the scizor was starting to blush a bit more noticeably since he wasnt used to holding his breath, starting to grunt a little from strain

L: After a bit, the lizard looks over at the scizor to check on them. "Dobling okblay? Yoblu're moblre rebled thblan usblual."

S: "Whblatever thblis bublrn fbleeling ibln my lunblgs ibls, I dblont likble iblt...at abll...I thblink I nbleed ablir!"

L: "Yeblah, thblat's whblat thblat meblans. Leblt's hblead ublp reblal qublick." The lizard gets up, which easily gets his head above the water, and he gasps a little.

The alien gets up to surface as well, just exhaling as they'd apparently still not been under much strain.

S: the scizor gets up as well, getting his own head above water and gasping a bit more heavily then the lizard, his face slowly returning to its normal shade of red

"Hah...hah... phew, much better, ill admit being underwater when the waters are really warm feels really nice...I guess I could calmly hold my breath in something like that"

L: Lizard: "So glad we finally got you to enjoy being underwater!"

Alien: "I hope you manage to keep that confidence in water that's not as warm as this."

S: "Don't think thats gonna happen, but you never really know, point is being under warm water felt nice"

L: Lizard: "Speaking of warm though, I'm kind of starting to get a bit TOO hot..."

Alien: "Not quite as good with heat as I am, huh?"

S: "Yeah, me too, it is getting a little too hot for my liking, I think im gonna get outta this hot spring"

the scizor does so, drying himself off with a towel nearby

L: Lizard: "Same here. It was pretty nice to meet you though! I think I might actually end up feeling better about aliens now... I hope." He gets up to dry off too.

Alien: "No problem, it was cool to meet you two! I'm gonna be staying here for now, but maybe we'll meet up again later."

S: "Definitely, you're not so bad, I can see us becoming friends! And I feel a bit better about ailens too myself"

L: Lizard: "We'll be around on the station for the rest of the day, so you could definitely run into us again at some point. See you when that hopefully happens!"

Alien: "Bye, guys!"

S: "See you later! Hope to see you soon!"

and so with the scizor managing to take his goggles off and the lizard doing the same, he sees them aside before heading off with them to explore the rest of the station
