The lanturn just barely managed to get a deep breath as a strong wave forced him onto the shore, sending him tumbling some distance from the water! After quickly regaining his bearings, he did his best to pull himself back with his flippers, but he barely even had the strength with them to drag himself. All the effort quickly burned through his oxygen, and he wasn't sure he was going to make it in time... The waves were so close, his gills burning and face beginning to go more blue than normal-
Someone stepped in front of him, blocking his path and crouching down to get a better look at him. "Aw, poor guy..." The lanturn started to get some hope at that, until his potential rescuer continued. "Don't worry, you'll look great in my tank back home." Weakening from suffocation, he was powerless to resist as the lizard hefted him up and started bringing him even farther inland! He could only watch the lifegiving water get farther away, and hope that the lizard had some for him. At least he probably wasn't going to be dying... But what was it going to be like, living as someone's pet?
