Full Name: King
Nickname(s): Kingsley, King
Species: Wolf
Gender: Male
Age: Young Adult
Role: Alpha Male
Residence: Human World
Affiliation: Mapleleaf's former wolf pack
Status: Alive
Mate: Mapleleaf
Daughter: Winter
Appearance
King is a large, powerful wolf with a thick coat of pure white fur. His muzzle and nose are dark black, contrasting strongly against his pale face.
His paws are also dark, giving him a distinctive appearance. King has large pointed ears with black outer fur and soft pink inner ears.
His most noticeable feature is his pair of bright blue eyes, which give him an expressive and gentle appearance despite his imposing size.
As the Alpha male, King carries himself with confidence and authority, but around Mapleleaf and Winter, that intimidating presence quickly gives way to a much softer side.
Personality
King is a strong, protective, loyal, and devoted Alpha.
He is an experienced leader who takes his responsibilities toward his pack very seriously. He is usually calm and confident, especially when protecting his territory or making decisions for the pack.
However, King has one major weakness:
The wolves he loves.
King deeply loves Mapleleaf and never stopped loving her after she was driven from the pack. Although he failed to stop the other wolves when they chased her away, he carries enormous guilt over what happened.
He knows that Mapleleaf's injury did not make her weak.
She survived.
She adapted.
She remained an Alpha even after losing one of her legs.
King admires that strength more than ever.
He is also already deeply attached to Winter, despite only meeting his daughter after she was born.
Relationship With Mapleleaf
Mapleleaf was King's mate and the Alpha female of their pack.
Before the accident, the two were a powerful pair. They hunted together, protected their territory together, and led their pack side by side.
Mapleleaf's pregnancy had begun shortly before she was injured by the bear trap.
King was with her when the trap caught her.
He wanted to stay.
But Mapleleaf ordered him and the pack to leave when humans approached.
After humans treated Mapleleaf and removed her badly damaged leg, she was returned to the wilderness.
Instead of welcoming their Alpha female home, the pack rejected her because she was missing a leg.
King couldn't stop the pack from chasing her away.
It became one of his greatest regrets.
When Mapleleaf disappeared into the strange portal leading to Halloween Town, King believed he might never see his mate again.
But he never stopped searching.
When he finally found her, he discovered something he never knew:
Mapleleaf had given birth to their daughter.
Relationship With Winter
Winter is King's only surviving pup.
Mapleleaf had been carrying six puppies, but five were stillborn. Winter was the only pup who survived.
King missed Winter's birth and her first day of life, something he deeply regrets.
When he finally met his daughter, he was completely overwhelmed.
Winter was tiny, blind, deaf, and completely dependent on her mother.
King was immediately gentle with her.
The powerful Alpha who could command an entire pack suddenly became nervous about moving too quickly around his newborn daughter.
He already loves Winter deeply.
Before leaving Halloween Town to return to his pack, King promised Mapleleaf:
He would come back.
He intends to keep that promise.
Leadership
As Alpha male, King is responsible for:
πΊ Protecting his pack
πΊ Defending their territory
πΊ Leading hunts
πΊ Settling conflicts
πΊ Protecting the younger wolves
πΊ Making difficult decisions during dangerous situations
King believes an Alpha should lead beside their pack, not simply above them.
Ironically, this belief is part of why Mapleleaf's banishment haunts him so much.
He believes he failed his own principles when he allowed the pack to chase his injured mate away.
His Greatest Regret
King's greatest regret is simple:
He didn't stop them.
When Mapleleaf was chased from the territory, he wanted to follow her.
But the pack needed its Alpha.
He stayed.
Mapleleaf disappeared.
He has never forgiven himself for choosing his responsibilities over the wolf he loved.
Now that he has found her again, King refuses to make the same mistake twice.

Relationship With Halloween Town
King finds Halloween Town extremely strange.
He has spent his entire life in the wilderness and has no understanding of Halloween traditions.
Ghosts, skeletons, living pumpkins, witches, and talking creatures are all completely outside his experience.
Still, he doesn't care how strange the town is.
Mapleleaf and Winter are there.
And that's enough reason for him to return.
Quote
"I failed to protect you once, Mapleleaf. I'll carry that regret for the rest of my life. But I won't fail you or our daughter again." πΊπ
