Appearance
Winter is a small, fluffy wolf pup with a beautiful mixture of pale cream, white, and light tan fur. Her coloring gives her a soft, warm appearance that contrasts with the darker markings around her face and paws.
She has distinct black markings on two of her paws, along with a soft black pattern surrounding her muzzle. Her ears are mostly black, with soft pink coloring inside.
Winter inherited her mother's lighter coloring and her father's darker markings, making her appearance a unique combination of both parents.
As a newborn, Winter's eyes and ears are sealed shut, meaning she cannot see or hear yet. She relies completely on Mapleleaf for warmth, food, protection, and guidance.
Personality
Even though Winter is only a newborn, she is already showing signs of being a gentle and curious little pup.
She is completely dependent on her mother and instinctively searches for Mapleleaf whenever she becomes separated from her.
Winter is especially comforted by Mapleleaf's warmth and scent. She often crawls toward her mother when she is hungry or frightened, though her movements are still clumsy.
As she grows older, she may inherit some of Mapleleaf's resilience and King's leadership instincts.
For now, however, Winter's biggest concerns are simple:
Stay warm. Find Mom. Eat. Sleep. Repeat. 🐺❄️
Birth & Survival
Winter was born on October 30th, 2026, after Mapleleaf went into labor shortly after arriving in Halloween Town.
Mapleleaf had been carrying six pups.
Sadly, Winter was the only one who survived.
Her five siblings were stillborn.
Jack Skellington carefully wrapped the five pups and took them to the cemetery, where he buried them with respect.
Winter's survival became incredibly important to Mapleleaf.
After everything Mapleleaf had lost—the death of her parents, her leg, her pack, and her former life—Winter became the one living piece of her family that remained.
Mapleleaf immediately became fiercely protective of her daughter.
Her Father, King
Winter's father is King, the Alpha male of Mapleleaf's former pack.
King loved Mapleleaf and never stopped caring about her after she was chased away, although he deeply regrets failing to stop the pack from banishing her.
He eventually found Mapleleaf in Halloween Town and met Winter for the first time.
The moment King saw his daughter, he was overwhelmed.
He had missed her birth and her first day of life, but he immediately loved her.
Before returning to his pack, King promised Mapleleaf that he would come back to check on both her and Winter.
Winter has no idea yet how important her father is to her story.
Life in Halloween Town
Winter is growing up in a world completely different from the forest where her parents came from.
Instead of a wolf pack, she has Halloween Town.
Instead of hunting through forests, she has Jack's tower.
Instead of only relying on Mapleleaf, she has Jack, Sally, Zero, and eventually other residents of Halloween Town watching over her.
She was born around Halloween, making the holiday her mother's birthday as well.
Unfortunately, Halloween is complicated for Mapleleaf because it is also the anniversary of her parents' deaths.
For Winter, however, Halloween may eventually become something completely different:
The day she was born.

🐺 Mapleleaf — Mother
Winter's entire world. Mapleleaf is extremely protective of her daughter and refuses to let anything happen to her.
🐺 King — Father
Winter's father and the Alpha male of Mapleleaf's former pack. He immediately loved Winter when he met her and promised to return.
🎃 Jack Skellington — Guardian/Friend
Jack helped Mapleleaf after finding her struggling in Halloween Town and now watches over both mother and daughter.
🧵 Sally — Family Friend
Sally has already taken a liking to Winter and helps Mapleleaf with blankets, supplies, and caring for the newborn.
👻 Zero — Companion
Zero is fascinated by the tiny pup and often stays nearby while Winter sleeps.
