Dengshan travels the land, fighting anyone who seems strong and proving his martial superiority to anyone who dares doubt him. His intense competitive drive, spurred on by his eternal competition with his siblings while growing up in the hidden Temple of Haze, forces him to accept any fair contest of physical might, both a great strength and his greatest weakness.
What makes him a "villain" in a categorical sense is not any desire for something that would harm others, but his complete lack of regard for collateral damage or the lives of those around him beyond him and his opponent. He will often level challenges at heroes and villains alike, using his intensely forceful cryokinesis to create large arenas around him and his target of choice, sending jagged ice and frost across and through anything and everything around him. Of course, the heroes typically don't enjoy that sort of thing.
Now in Blue Hex Port, he's set his sights on one "Steel Wool", the self-proclaimed strongest animal in the city. Such hubris can only be met with a worth challenger.
----- A lot of my characters are gonna be in a giant melting pot of heroes and villains, basically whatever hero is on hand fighting whatever villain is causing problems, but some of them are gonna have nemesis. I'm not super sure if Dengshan will qualify as Steel Wool's (I tend to prefer nemesis having similar powers to their counterparts), but who knows. I was envisioning Dengshan using his cryokinesis to freeze a building-sized chunk of debris that got knocked over earlier in the fight, then use it as a giant hammer. Maybe someday.
