Backstory:
From a young age, Ivy was fascinated by how things worked. While other children played with toys, she dismantled them, eager to understand their inner mechanics. Her natural intelligence made her a standout in school, particularly in physics and engineering, earning her a reputation as a brilliant but socially awkward student.
Her passion for technology grew with time, leading her to follow Tails' work closely. She had always admired his inventions, fascinated by the ingenuity behind each design. However, she never imagined she would actually meet him—until one fateful day in the Mystic Ruins changed everything.
While exploring the area, Ivy stumbled upon Tails’ Workshop, captivated by the advanced machinery inside. Completely absorbed by the complex designs, she couldn’t help but study them in detail. However, her presence quickly raised alarms—Knuckles and the rest of Team Sonic mistook her enthusiasm for attempted espionage, believing she was trying to steal Tails’ ideas.
Cornered and overwhelmed, Ivy struggled to explain herself until Sonic and Tails stepped in, sensing no real threat from her. When she confessed that she wasn’t there to steal but was simply inspired by Tails’ work, the misunderstanding was cleared. From then on, Ivy became a trusted ally, frequently visiting the Workshop and assisting Tails with his inventions.
Though her knowledge is vast, she still sees herself as a student, eager to learn from Tails rather than compete with him. Her admiration for him remains strong—so strong, in fact, that she often becomes unusually shy in his presence, fumbling her words or avoiding direct conversations when possible.
Despite this, she has slowly grown more comfortable within Team Sonic’s circle, building confidence in both her skills and friendships. As Tails and Ivy grew, they developed a romantic relationship and the two eventually married and had twin boys; Nicholas and Daniel.
