Character Description
Esper is a gray-furred Vulpix with a quiet, particular way of interacting with the world. She is on the autism spectrum, and much of her personality is shaped by her intense interests, preference for predictability, and tendency to notice tiny details that others overlook. Esper isn't especially interested in fitting herself into other people's expectations. She has her routines, her comforts, and her passions, and she is happiest around those willing to understand them rather than constantly question them.

Background/History
Her greatest fascination is red stones. Smooth ones, jagged ones, translucent ones, enormous ones, tiny ones—it hardly matters as long as they're red. Esper has accumulated an impressive collection and remembers exactly where nearly every stone came from. To someone else, two stones might appear identical; Esper can eagerly explain that one has a slightly darker inclusion, another becomes orange when held against firelight, and another has three tiny scratches resembling a bird's footprint.
She attaches memories to her favorites. A chipped crimson pebble might remind her of a particular journey, while an otherwise ordinary reddish river stone might be precious because someone important gave it to her. Consequently, taking something from her collection without permission is one of the quickest ways to genuinely upset her.
Esper can become so absorbed in something that she temporarily loses awareness of everything happening around her. When searching for stones, she'll carefully examine cracks, riverbeds, cave walls, and piles of otherwise unremarkable rubble. Finding an especially beautiful specimen can transform her normally reserved demeanor into unmistakable excitement. She may suddenly talk at length about its color, shape, texture, and where she thinks it originated before eventually realizing everyone has been listening to her.
