Travelers, human ones from the civilized lands in particular, would cast their glances down onto the river and the animal that was in it. It was hard to tell which bewildered them more. That anyone would bathe in the chilly river during cool morning hours, or the fact the animal bathed at all.
i am possibly human too, but having seen canines throwing themselves into cold canals, i'm not too bewildered by that.. but dakka is clearly intrigued, and will soon exit going for them, also doing what ALL canines do after exiting water (shake-shake-shake)... let's drench those nosy naked monkeys! - - - - ONE day i will find some critique to write about the woof art, but not now!
