As the summer came to pass, a new chapter in Ion's life at the Spellcrafter's Magus Academy began which he looked forward to, especially getting to see his carbuncle magical creature Familiar again after making the unexpected bond with him the previous year. Every morning Ion would go to what was know as the Garden where these magical creature are housed and pickup Familiar to have him accompany Ion to each of his classes for the day, though Familiar was a rather rambunctious carbuncle, often getting into mischief causing Ion some grief or depending, pay along if it annoyed a certain someone who Ion was locked into a bitter rivalry with, just all the more fun of being a student in the Spellcrafters
