As a bird explored the outside of a space station he was on, the magnetic boots of his spacesuit keeping him from floating off, he wondered how exactly space must look if there were absolutely nothing in his way of it, not even his helmet... With it having been disproven some time ago that it's dangerous for someone to hold their breath in a vacuum, he saw little reason not to try. As he began to decouple his helmet from the rest of his suit, a warning message played, reminding him of the vacuum around him. "Don't care", he muttered, and after taking a deep breath, he lifted his helmet.
There was a slight hiss, then nothing at all; true, absolute silence. After removing his helmet entirely, the bird looked around at his surroundings. Sure enough, space looked even better than he'd seen it before, the stars and a distant nebula all more clear than he'd seen them. Even the station looked better, and as the bird continued to hold his breath - and his helmet - there was a big smile between his cheeks as he strolled around to get as good a look at everything he could.
