These are gonna be the traveling outfits! We reached that point
Zhu Bajie has more of a farmer look, kinda casual and easy movement, less rough that his previous armor, the translation initially said he asked for a blue cassock, but later on it mentions a shirt, so I went with the second mention.
Tang SanZang doesn’t changes at all, I added the same image as the previous post
Wukong is mentioned to be bald as he shaved the head, but I couldn’t bring myself to do it fully 😠so instead his hair is a lot shorter, with the gold fillet, a shirt gifted by GuanYin in disguise to the monk, and the tiger skirt tied up with rattan, in the translation I also got a bit confused as in other version doesn’t mentioned the type of folds he sews into the skin, but in the one I’m reading (not sure if it’s mentioned in other places as in the Spanish one it didn’t) mentions a specific type of fold, which felt nice to add, also it’s a lot longer than usual descriptions as tigers are pretty big and he used half of the skin after cutting it into a square. As the extra decorations it was creative freedom, with the wrist and ankle rattan covers and the earrings, who had the same thought process as with Wujing but not including the beast, a far simpler design.
Sha Wujing didn’t changed much, unfortunately in the river the nine skulls got used so he die has them any longer, I suffered when removing them, really liked that. Another thing changed was a more restored robe. More can be found about the design on his own post.
Finally Ao Lie, it was also explained in his post, I got not much to say as I used the same image too
You can also see the size difference between them, Wukong is so small, and Wujing absolutely massive, the sizes surprised me as I didn’t thought it would be so extreme
And so with that I’m ready to draw more of them, little moments I like or who knows, I’ve been enjoying reading it so much, even if it’s not my usual content I’ll still share about it!
