Ugh I’m obsessed with Violette lately. 🙃 Anyway it was about time I revealed the outfit Violette wears when she engages in fights. I know Roo wears more modern clothes. And while Violette has existed in a realm like the abyss that is very delayed when it comes to being caught up with the times ((which is why she wears vintage dresses)), she was definitely not going around fighting or hunting abyssal monsters in a long flowy dress with lace. I wanted to give her a more modern aesthetic to fall in line with Roo, but also because she is Vincent’s daughter, the tastes she inherited from him still do reflect in the clothes she chooses. Vincent was always about the future—so cyberpunk clothing is something Violette subconsciously gravitates toward.
It’s also a good opportunity to explain that Violette doesn’t use typical weapons. Because she was raised by Roo solely, she picked up a lot of those feral tendencies her mother displays. Though she only really acts on them when in her root of evil form. So her style of fighting heavily relies on her own powers and her brute strength. Most of the time biting and clawing at an opponent until they incur major damage. The nail guards she wears are sharpened to a lethal point, while the metal itself is angelic steel that her mother had obtained years prior. The blade she attached to her braid is the same—though she keeps it there so she can grab it when she desperately needs it/can let go of the blade if she has to without having to worry about losing it in the fight.
