4. Now it’s time to go wild. I’m upscaling the image by a factor of 2. Denoising: 0.5. At this stage, I’m making my first major changes to the prompt. I’m adding the color of the tongue and its position in the mouth, and I’m specifying in the prompt that the teeth should be visible so the model can refine them—they finally turned out right. I’ve just reached a resolution of 1536x2560 (3.93 MP)—this is probably the maximum at which you can work with reasonably high denoising. It’s worth mentioning that at this resolution, high denoising generates terrible artifacts and distortions. The model then tries to generate a panorama from multiple images, and while this works for mountain views and city panoramas, it doesn’t work for characters.

5. In this step, I start refining the details. The earlier upscaling created space for them. At this stage, I’m fixing the muzzle, the inside of the muzzle, and the tongue. The model was trying very hard to add blush to the cheeks, which I don’t want.

6. At this stage, I add to the prompt, for example, the outline of nipples under the T-shirt—what the heck! I had to add a few phrases to prevent my dog from turning into a female. 👌 Ehh... I felt like having lighter eyelids, so now the model thinks I’m trans. Lol! ... a few times in my imagination ...

I’m also adjusting the eyebrows to blonde in the prompt—which is actually accurate. You’ll need to be patient, because they’ll improve with each subsequent img2img step.

7. At this stage, I’m performing downscaling with a scale of 0.85. I’m switching the sampler to DPM++ 2M. I need the downscaling to bring out only the most important features of the image. By the way, it turned out that the light-colored eyelids weren’t a good idea, so I’m ditching them. In this step, I decided to change the model. Using the detailed bananaSplitz model added a lot of subtle lines and fine shadows. The eyes gained character. In the end, the character looks more like a Bernese Mountain Dog. Well, apparently I’m a mixed breed. 🤣👌😉

Unfortunately, I couldn't keep the mole on my chin. I tried all sorts of ways. The model doesn't want it anymore 🤣.
