Little sketch. It's kinda vulnerable actually. I am trying to practice vulnerable and genuine writing. It's little, and its not even porn, but it's very, sort of, honest and that's really embarassing...
I was trying to write these big stories, and it just wasn't working out quickly. I've been frustrated, but also, really embarassed. Vulnerability is hard, and the doubt was like, muddying the work more and more.
I kinda took a bunch of steps forward in, like, communication skill and specificity and character writing, and a million steps back in terms of stories being fun. The better I got at writing, the more I was afraid of my flaws being seen. So I found I can't actually communicate anything very meaningful since I just end up re-writng and destroying it. Basically, the more well I could communicate, the more I used that skill to avoid being honest with myself while writing.
Anyway, I decided to try writing a smaller thing. Very small. Just this one comic. I have more thought out about who these characters are and how they might grow, but I don't know if I'll develop them.
Also, commission prices are way down for a while. $20 for a sketch, $40 for color, payment is given at the end of the work. I reworked my artstyle for speed comfort, and readability, so now I can work multiple smaller commissions instead of few big ones. This announcement is a little stealthy because I still need time to make the comm sheet and get a Trello set up and all these other things. But if you want in on these prices before they raise (going to move to $25 and $50 within the next few weeks) hmu. Payment after work so theres no risk.
