I wanted to doodle out what Teagan looks like when her species’ defense mechanisms are triggered, you see while her body is mostly hers, there is a second symbiotic life form she is sharing her body with. It resides in her brain, feeding off of the chemical and electrical signals it produces, while in turn taking over functions of the brain that are used to regulate involuntary bodily functions and systems. This creature is almost in a vegetable like state and can only react to the signals coming from her brain. But if it feels threatened it’ll take over Teagan completely, reverting her to nothing more than a feral version of herself since the cognitive ability to think is being suppressed in that state. It goes away as soon as any danger that was present vanishes—but until then, in this state, Teagan is incredibly aggressive and mostly reacts with violence.
