According to Grit and Grimy, what do you do with a sign you are finished with?...Flip it anywhere...Doesn't matter where. I sometimes think Grimy deliberately aimed at that window when he tossed the sign.
Alarmingly close to what happened at a college in Manhattan when I still worked there. Some wisenheimer threw an ashcan out of the 20th floor window and it hit a car ! Guy driving it swore that if he had been 1 or 2 feet further along (stopped for a red light ?) it would have gone through his windshield and murdered him ! The same miscreant unrolled a firehose down the stairs and turned it on ! Water almost hit the computer center. (mainframe systems were the norm back then.).
Maybe this didn't actually happen. The papers made NO mention of such vandalism and mayhem. Just like the guy who went postal and tried to shoot his supervisor. Doors were hurriedly locked. One person said his door was rattled. ! Again no mention made in the papers !
