Mew?s World
By Sokz
``I'm first, I'm first!'' Wooper said as he hopped out of the river and onto the road. Water dripped down his sleek body as Mew caught up to him. She was a little out of breath, but her eyes still sparkled, and her fur was still puffy.
``I think you cheated,'' she said with a good-natured intensity. ``The river cut out half of the race track!''
``You coulda swum too,'' Wooper answered. ``Or just flew over the buildings.''
``But that isn't in the spirit of the race.''
Behind them, a chubby Ratticate finally rounded the corner and huffed her way to the finish line. ``You two... are too... fast.''
Mew and Wooper laughed in unison as their friend flopped onto the ground, utterly exhausted. Mew loved these types of days, where she could just hang out with her friends and fly around without a care or thought. And this was such a fun place, too.
It must have been a human settlement at one point, since only humans could build such tall buildings, pave roads, and change the flow of rivers, but it was abandoned long ago. Now the structures were reclaimed by nature. Ivy grew up walls, trees broke through street foundations, and Pokemon made their homes in the abandoned cubicles and workstations. Some would probably look at a place like this and think it was a tragedy, an area where civilization was defeated and driven out. Mew looked at it as a new home, one where Pokemon could relax and play without worrying about trainers or humans coming to ruin the fun. Every now and then, a trainer wandered in to explore, but they were easy enough to deal with.
After all, there were some very powerful Pokemon in their little abandoned town. Mew felt a tingle run down her spine at the thought. The air around them seemed to grow heavy, and a shadow fell upon the trio. Mew knew what it was before she turned around, the psychic feelings unmistakable.
Hovering behind them was a tall Pokemon with a sleek purple and white body, his intense eyes staring down at them as he floated in front of the sun. Ripples of raw psychic power radiated from him, causing the air to waver as if refracted on a hot summer day. Mewtwo. She knew his strength and was reminded of it every time she talked with him.
``Hello Mewtwo,'' she said as pleasantly as she could. Though he was intimidating, the Pokemon wasn't such a bad guy once you got to know him. Not very playful, though.
``I have a task that needs to be accomplished,'' he said, speaking directly and without emotion. ``And I need your help to do it.''
Mew smiled. She loved it when Mewtwo needed her for something. ``What's it this time? A trainer snooping around again? Need me to steal their backpack and hide it somewhere? Or is there a truck you want me to mess with? Oh! Or what about a...''
``Mew,'' Mewtwo said, cutting her off, ``It is something easier. I have heard whispers that there is a machine in a human city close to us that has a material I've been searching for. While I'm gone, you must keep everything in order. Make sure chaos does not destroy what we have built.''
She sighed. Mewtwo was like this a lot. Everything was serious, everything was life and death. Protect the world from chaos, make sure anarchy doesn't decimate the limited civilization they had cultivated through adversity and strife. Bleh. She just wanted to relax and play.
``What are you working on, anyway?'' Wooper asked.
``A way to gain power,'' Mewtwo answered. ``A way to make me strong enough to conquer the world, so that we can shape it to our desires and create a utopia far greater than anything those worthless humans have ever designed.''
Mew said, ``Sounds fun. Can I be the high princess?''
``Perhaps. But first, make sure the town is safe. Some Pokemon say there is a trainer with a Dragonite that has been making trouble. Be careful if you see them. They are strong.'' Without another word, he turned and blasted off toward the horizon, his power shaking the ground in his wake.
``What a nice guy,'' Mew said with a smile. ``Bit intense though.''
``I like him!'' said Wooper. ``One day I want to be that big and powerful.''
Mew was about to answer, but a loud thud cut her off before she could say anything. A boulder flew from a nearby alleyway, missed the group by only a few inches, and landed in the nearby river with a splash. ``Heh,'' came a deep laugh from the shadows. A Pokemon emerged from the gloom, its size staggering and its power evident with each crashing footfall.
``A tiny squirt like you being big? Not likely.'' The Tyranitar loomed over them, her green body glistening in the morning light as her muscles flexed and her fangs sparkled. ``Listen up, shrimps. Since Mewtwo's gone, that makes ME the most powerful Pokemon around. So you better do everything I say or I'll stomp you into DUST! Now go get me all the snacks you have saved up, and don't even think of skimping out, or I'm dunking you in the lake.''
Mew rolled her eyes. ``Hey, could we just, like, not?''
Tyranitar stomped the ground, causing a nearby window to shatter. ``NO! I'm in charge now, got it?''
``Unfortunately, Mewtwo said I had to keep order around her, so I guess that means I gotta stop you before you do anything to hurt anyone.''
``Try it, pipsqueak.''
Mew looked at her opponent. This wouldn't be an easy battle, especially considering the size and power of the other Pokemon. Tyranitar could have any number of powerful moves, and if things got out of hand, the collateral damage would be astronomical. Most of these buildings didn't look like they could survive an earthquake.
Mew ran through her options. If only she were big and strong like Tyranitar, then at least they'd be on an even playing field. Transform could accomplish that, and she loved using the move, but then she'd have to walk around as an ugly Tyranitar, and she just didn't want to. If only she could grow huge while keeping her cute, pink shape.
Actually, why couldn't she? Transform changed her whole body, so why not just use it to get bigger? She concentrated on the move and tried to focus on the feelings around her. It was a struggle, but soon a light engulfed her, and her body started to change.
``What the...'' Tyranitar said as she took a step back. Mew's body changed rapidly, first doubling in size, then tripling, then more and more until she was over thirty feet tall. She appeared in a burst and landed on the ground with an intense thud, causing buildings to shake and streets to buckle under her new, gigantic form.
With a smirk, she asked, ``Still want to battle?''
Tyranitar made an annoyed, aggressive grunt. ``You might be big, but I bet it's just a trick and you're still just the small little weakling!'' She stomped the ground, hard, and caused a series of stones to launch into the air. They flew forward and slammed into Mew, pelting her body as the rocks broke apart on her legs and belly. Wooper and Raticate took the chance to run away.
Rockslide was a savage attack, and it had the power to knock out almost any Pokemon in the entire region, yet it barely even tickled. Mew blinked as she looked down at herself. Her fur was a little ruffled, but other than that, she felt fine. ``Uh... was that it?''
Tyranitar took a step back as concern made her mouth open. ``W.. why didn't that hurt you?''
``Dunno,'' Mew said with a shrug. ``Guess I'm big and powerful.'' She smiled. ``How fun!'' She hopped into the air and landed with a catastrophic slam, the impact strong enough to send a gust of wind billowing over Tyranitar as the buildings nearby buckled. ``Anyway, my turn.'' Mew gathered her energy in a ball in front of her chest. It wasn't anything extremely powerful, and at her normal size it probably wouldn't even do much to a Pokemon as strong as Tyranitar. Now, however, it shook the world even before she let it go. ``You might want to brace yourself.''
Tyranitar did, but it didn't matter. When Mew let her Aura Sphere launch, the world broke apart in its wake. Buildings were blown to dust, streets erupted in broken pebbles and stone, the river trembled, and fires erupted. The sphere of destruction crashed through Tyranitar and continued forward, carving a deep trench in the abandoned town before reaching the outskirts and detonating against a cliffside. Light filled the sky and cast deep shadows from the buildings that remained standing.
When it faded, Mew was left with a huge smile on her face. ``WOAH!'' she said, overjoyed. ``I never knew I was so strong! Maybe, if I could use transform to get this large...'' She smirked as she used her power again. Her body morphed, growing even bigger as she focused on different aspects of her form. She made her breasts bigger, changed her legs and arms to be longer, then finally burst forth in a new and improved form.
Her feet slammed into the ground as she admired herself. ``Now this is something I could have fun with.''
She never pictured herself as a giant, much less the type that went around stomping on buildings and smashing bridges under her feet, but it was just so much fun! The crackling sensation of roads crumbling whenever she leaned on them was just too satisfying to stop, and the pop and snap of a collapsing building was the best sound she had ever heard. She even loved watching all the tiny Pokemon scurry out of her way as she lifted her foot to take another step.
They were just like bugs now. Before, when she was tiny, her, Wooper, and Raticate loved finding an ant hill and stomping all the little ants as they scurried around. Wooper laughed as his feet came down over and over, while Raticate rolled through entire patches. This had the same style, the same energy, but so much more.
She leapt into the air, flipped forward, then landed in the courtyard of a small apartment complex with the force of a crashing missile. The ground shook below her weight and caused the building's foundations to crack and crumble. Two of them fell without any further effort. The third only needed a little push.
If she wanted, she could keep playing like this all day. There were still a bunch of buildings left standing, and so many bridges, roads, and train tracks that would feel lovely to step on. Still, a part of her knew that this was her home, and she shouldn't wreck it too badly. As the thought entered her mind, a small sparkle caught her eye from beyond the rocky terrain surrounding the abandoned home. She squinted into the distance and tried to make it out.
``Oh,'' she said as a small, playful smile spread on her face. She completely forgot that there were other towns nearby! They were a pain to reach if you were traveling on foot, since most of the rocky passes were blocked by avalanches, and the tunnels had collapsed years ago, but for her, it would just be a few hops and jumps to reach.
Maybe her fun didn't have to stop.
With a playful, almost impish expression, she jumped into the air, cleared the deserted buildings of her town, and slammed her feet into the expanse of stone and rock that lay beyond. She could feel tiny tunnels collapsing under the impact.
She could have just flown to the next town, but walking was so much more interesting. As she went, she kicked over trees, slammed her hand into cliffs, and tore metal structures out of the ground before throwing them into the sky. Nothing was left in her wake besides gigantic footprints.
It only took a few minutes to reach the outskirts of the town. It was a pretty rich area, with large houses built around a stunning, crystal clear lake. Luxury cars drove past perfectly landscaped yards and parks, while Pokemon accompanied their trainers through packed central streets.
Some of them stopped as her shadow fell upon the town, but most of them were too engrossed in their own tiny lives to notice anything out of the norm. For some reason, she loved that thought. These humans always thought they were better than the wild Pokemon. Well, let's see what they think about her!
Mew hopped forward, her foot crashing into a department store near the edge of town, shattering it to pieces. Dozens of people and Pokemon rushed from the scene, screaming in panic as they tore through the streets. She loved every second of it.
She hopped to the next building, then the next, then the one after, breaking each one apart like it was nothing more than a quickly built collection of twigs. The screams grew louder as she kicked through yet another building, sending debris flying at mach speed into the rest of the town, each broken piece of wood and cracked brick causing its own mini-catastrophe.
When she reached the lake, she knelt down in front of it, pressed her lips to the surface, and drank. It tasted delicious! These people had amazing water.
But she could think of a better use than just drinking it. With a silly expression, she slammed her fist into the lake and watched as the water surged away from the impact. The wave collected power until it crashed into the shoreline and continued deeper, destroying homes, flooding streets, and causing destruction in every direction.
She laughed as she watched the water continue on its way, flooding the town. It reminded her of splashing in puddles after a rainstorm, except a lot more fun. She was debating doing it again when she felt a blast of heat on her backside. It wasn't strong enough to burn her, or even do much more than draw her attention, but it was still unexpected.
Lightning crackled around the tiny Pokemon's body as she turned toward it. A Dragonite hovered in the air, each beat of her wings causing a small gust as she stared with the intensity of a true warrior. At her side, standing on the ground was an ace trainer.
``Oh, you're the Dragonite Mewtwo told me about,'' Mew said with a smile. ``It's nice to meet you.''
``Not so nice,'' the Dragonite answered. ``You destroyed the town!''
``Yeah...'' she shrugged. ``Sorry. You guys shouldn't have made it so fun to destroy.'' ``I don't know how you grew so huge, or how you became so powerful, but it ends now! Prepare yourself for the fight of your life!'' White-hot energy condensed in her open mouth as she readied a devastating attack.
``Okay,'' Mew said as she casually braced herself. ``But this didn't go too well for the last
girl.''
Dragonite launched her hyperbeam with every ounce of power in her body. The white energy erupted like a torrent of lightning, cut across the street, then slammed into Mew's chest. The explosion that followed was horrific, shattering glass for miles as dust and water churned in the air. When the blast cleared, the nearby streets lay in ruin.
But Mew was fine.
``Hey, good job,'' she said with a chipper tone. ``I fought a Tyranitar before, and your attack was way more flashy. Not very effective though.''
``Wait... how did...'' Dragonite was left speechless.
``I think you'll like this one,'' Mew said as her body glowed with a powerful purple aura. ``I've been thinking about it ever since I grew to this size.'' She hovered off the ground as the whole town began to shake. Purple psychic energy flooded the land, leaving people and Pokemon in states of panic. The glow grew more intense until the entire town began to lift into the sky.
Dragonite could do nothing but watch in pure horror as the lake, the streets, the roads, the buildings, and the bedrock itself lifted higher and higher. Mew just smiled as she cut off her psychic powers and let it fall. ``You might want to move.''
The city came crashing down. Dragonite and her trainer were caught in its shadow as it hurtled to the ground, flames erupting from its edges as the air rushed at incredible speeds. There was no escape, and when it landed, the damage was total.
The force of the town slamming into the earth was like nothing the region had ever experienced. Ground shattered, mountains were sent tumbling, and nearby woods were stripped bare. Rivers were blown away while dust and burning rock were launched skyward. It was devastation, pure calamity, and a bit more than Mew planned.
``Huh,'' she said as she watched the detonation. ``Neat.''
The landscape was so easy to destroy. She barely even had to do anything! If she took a step, the ground swelled, trees toppled, boulders smashed, and mountains tumbled as landslides slid down their sides. That was just the power she controlled simply by existing.
Mew was larger than before. Whenever she stomped through a small town or obliterated the countryside with an Aura Sphere, she felt a surge of strength that made her even bigger. She giggled every time she felt herself expanding.
Now, the little Pokemon crawling around on the ground were the size of ants. She had to lean down and squint just to make them out. It didn't really matter, since they all disappeared whenever she took a step or used a move anyway.
She came to another town resting at the base of a mountain. It was small, but cozy, with lots of little chimneys with wispy vapors drifting out of them, Pokemon walking along the streets, cars passing by, and a stream running through the center of it. Maybe it was a nice place to live. Maybe it was full of jerks like that ace trainer and his obnoxious Dragonite. Mew didn't really think about it, she just lifted her arms and used one of her favorite moves.
Metronome. It wasn't the most powerful move in the world, and she got a dud more often than it used something useful, but it was still so exciting to see what move she could conjure. This time, her power transformed into a gush of water! It surged forward like a flying tsunami, crashed into the town, and washed the entire thing away. ``I think that was Water Pulse,'' she said with a giggle as the water slowly drained, leaving only mud.
``Mew!'' A voice shouted from behind her. She felt a tingle run down her spine, and her tail twitched. She recognized the tone and that aura anywhere.
``Uh... hey Mewtwo,'' she said as she turned around, smiling sheepishly. ``Did you find that thing you were looking for?''
``That doesn't matter,'' Mewtwo said, his tone stern, his gaze harsh. ``What do you think you're doing? Going around, destroying everything?''
``I kind of thought you'd be happy about that. Don't you want to destroy the world or something?''
``I want to rule the world, but I can't do that if you step on everything!''
``That's boring.'' Her eyes flashed with joy as she said, ``It's so much more fun to break stuff!''
``No! I absolutely forbid it.''
Mew frowned. Once, she would have taken an order like that as an unbreakable command. Mewtwo was strong, probably the strongest Pokemon she had ever met, but now... well, he looked more like a pesky nat floating in front of her. She lifted her head and asked, ``And what are you going to do if I don't?''
Mewtwo's fists clenched. ``I will hear no insubordination from you. This is your last warning!'' Purple energy flowed around him as his power concentrated.
``No.'' She said with a smug grin.
``You had your chance.'' The air shook as he unleashed a powerful, unrelenting barrage of attacks. Psystrike and Psycho Cut flew through the air and struck her without mercy. She felt each attack, and she knew Mewtwo wasn't holding back at all, yet they barely even wrinkled her fur.
``Huh, look at that,'' she said when the legendary was finished. ``I kind of thought you'd be stronger.''
``I...''
She smiled as she gathered her power and unleashed another Metronome. ``What do you think it'll be?'' she asked as the energy swirled above her head. ``Maybe you'll get lucky, and it'll be something weak, like Cut or Slam.''
The air violently shimmered as the energy condensed into a pure black sphere at the tip of her finger. The vortex rotated violently, sucking in air and releasing rays of purple lightning that crashed into the ground and ripped trees from their roots. ``Ouch, bad luck,'' she said with a smile. ``Shadow Ball. Hey, aren't you weak against ghost-type moves?''
Mewtwo moved backward, fear in his eyes. She never saw that before. Usually, he was so intimidating, so unwavering, above all the trivial details of the world. He once looked like a
god, but now he was just another cowering bug.
She tossed the shadow ball with a casual flick of her finger. It crashed into Mewtwo like a falling comet, its pure black form bending and rupturing space as the energy within shattered the ground. Mewtwo's tiny body was lost in the shadow as it completely engulfed him, then continued toward the earth. When it impacted, the detonation was catastrophic, leveling the forest, the nearby mountains, and everything in between.
Lightning flashed across the sky, shadows raced through the world, and air rushed in hurricane-force gales. By the time the world settled and the last traces of the ghostly attack dissipated back into their realm, nothing remained but a crater and a swathe of cursed land. ``That was so much better than a Cut attack,'' she said with a smirk.
``You guys seem really mad,'' she said as a barrage of high-yield artillery detonated against her fur. ``Is it the city?'' she motioned to the destroyed metropolis all around her. Skyscrapers lay on the ground in rubble, while streets were clogged with destroyed cars and the deep imprints of her footprints. The barrage of attacks from the nearby ships and tanks continued. ``It's the city, isn't it? Well, if you didn't want me playing with it, you shouldn't have made it so fun to play with!''
She stomped over to one of the corps of tanks gathered in a nearby field. Her feet planted into the ground on either side of them, forcing them to slowly raise the barrels of their guns.
``You'd think you guys would learn that your little missiles don't do anything, but... well, I guess that's asking a lot since you guys are so tiny.'' Another huge blast slammed into her butt, leaving a little soot, but nothing else.
``Guess I have to destroy you then,'' she said with a sigh. ``But how? I could use
Metronome again, or I could just step on you, but I've done that a lot.'' An artillery shell bounced off her breast. ``Hm... that gives me an idea.''
She lowered herself onto her hands and knees, positioning her body directly over the legion of tanks. They stopped firing as her shadow drowned them. Perhaps some of the Pokemon realized what was about to happen and tried to escape, and perhaps others simply accepted it. Mew liked to imagine that a few of them were looking forward to what she was about to do. After all, what could be more fun than being part of her playtime?
With a smile, she slammed her breasts into the ground. It was like two mountains collapsing in a landslide of soft fur and skin. The tanks caught under her body were instantly destroyed, their strong metal frames buckling and breaking as they were crushed against the millions of pounds of her breasts. Their engines caught fire, their fuel detonated, and then everything left was smooshed and crushed into the dirt.
She giggled at the feeling of each pop and explosion. ``That tickles,'' she said, before moving her breasts back and forth, grinding them. When she pushed herself up, two large craters were left below her, sprinkled with bits of broken metal.
``Now for the boats,'' she said as she turned toward the nearby ocean.
Once again, she was left with a choice. She could smash her breasts into them, sit on them, crush them between her feet, toss them into her mouth as a little snack, but it all felt so mundane. This was the largest force the tiny people managed to amass, with more boats, planes, and tanks than any other city. They deserved something special.
As she was thinking, a tiny helicopter darted in front of her vision. She watched with mild interest as the doors opened, relieving a human with a billowing cape standing in the doorway. He threw a Pokeball into the air, and, in a burst of light, summoned a Pokemon that grabbed her attention. A charizard, except its body burned with blue fire against its jet black skin. The rage in its appearance was palpable as it took to the sky in a burst of energy, only stopping when it was directly in front of her face.
She marveled at the Pokemon. Raw power surrounded it as each wingbeat conjured a burst of blue fire. Flames leaked from its mouth as its eyes burned. ``Wow,'' she said, leaning closer. ``You're pretty cool. How'd you get those blue flames? All the Charizards I saw before were red.''
It didn't bother answering. Instead, the Pokemon unleashed a move that could have left landscapes in ruin. The air erupted in a burst of blue flames burning so fiercely that even Mew had to squint against the glare. Planes and Helicopters struggled to stay in the sky, clouds burst apart, the ocean swelled, and heat burned everything below them. Then the actual attack was unleashed. It surged through the sky and struck Mew in the chest, sending a shockwave of horrifically hot fire rushing across her skin.
Legions would have fallen if put against such a devastating attack. Legendary Pokemon, Mythicals, even high-level Pokemon trained by the best in the world, none of them could have withstood an attack such as this without buckling.
Yet, for Mew, it was barely more than a tickle. She watched with a silly smile as the blue flames around her body slowly burned out, leaving nothing other than a slight singe mark at worst. The last of the embers faded, leaving her standing and ready to continue.
``Was that Blast Burn?'' she asked. The Charizard was exhausted, his energy depleted as he struggled to stay in the sky. ``Awesome! I always wanted to try that move, but I never got lucky with my Metronome. Hey, maybe this time!''
The world shuddered as she once again focused the energy of her move. The power shifted and danced, first forming an orange flame, then a golden bolt of lightning, then a purple surge of darkness.
It settled as a rainbow pulse of pure strength. ``This looks like an interesting one!'' She let the attack go. The bolt of rainbow energy leapt into the sky, surging through the clouds and atmosphere until it reached the edges of space and broke apart in a shimmering burst of starlight.
And then the stars fell. One by one, those pinpricks of light raced through the sky, burning brighter than even Charizard's Blast Burn as they tore through the atmosphere. There were hundreds of them, each a burning chunk of starlight filled with more power than any other move in history.
The first one struck the ground hundreds of miles away. First, they saw the flash, then they felt the shockwave, then they saw the fireball as it grew to the size of a large city. More stars rained from the sky, most of them slamming into the ground closer to the two combatants. Everything for miles nearby was engulfed in white-hot destruction, leaving nothing, not even the stones themselves, unburned.
Fires raced through the atmosphere as the sky turned red. The oceans burned as more and more meteors crashed into the surface and caused horrific tsunamis. The ground buckled with each impact. Destruction and carnage surged.
A lone star raced toward them, burning brighter than all the others. ``I think I know what move this was,'' Mew said as blinding light slowly enveloped them. The Charizard simply stared upward, immobilized by the catastrophe around him. ``Draco Meteor.'' The star struck, and the world was engulfed in flames.
The Earth looked so beautiful as she hopped and skipped across the continents. The horizon constantly curved away from her as she went, leaving devastating footprints in her wake. Mountains flattened, deserts burned, and lakes evaporated under the force of her body. Nothing could survive now that she was the size of a continent.
Her feet slammed into countries, destroying them with a single impact. When she sat down, her butt eclipsed the sky before burying those under her in trillions of tons of soft Mew. Nothing even tried to stop her anymore. Nuclear bombs were useless, and the strongest Pokemon in the world had already tried and failed.
She let herself fall onto her back as she thought about it. Mewtwo? Dragonite? Charizard? None of them was strong enough to even deal a single point of damage. She was the only thing left, a Pokemon beyond the scope of the world, growing ever bigger and more beautiful with everything she destroyed.
With a silly smile, she dragged her hands across the planet and scooped up a handful of countries and landscapes. How many Pokemon did she hold? Probably thousands, each one overjoyed that they were part of her playtime. She laughed as she tossed the handful of dirt into the air. It sparkled as it began to orbit her and the planet.
Soon she would grow beyond the scope of the Earth. Maybe she'd smoosh it between her paws, or pop it in her mouth like a tasty Oran berry. Or, she could just see what fun move Metronome gave her to destroy it.
She didn't know how the world would end, but it made her feel warm and fuzzy just thinking about it. ``Soon,'' she said as she stretched out, breaking continents under her body. ``Soon~''
